Chapter 4

Everything started to go dark before my eyes. Holding on to my last breath, I grabbed the police officer's sleeve.

"I'm not faking... Please, I need to go to the hospital."

The officer looked at my ghost-white face and realized something was wrong. He quickly got ready to take me out of there.

However, Wren stood in our way, throwing the divorce papers in my face.

"Sign them and then get lost! I can't take this anymore!"

Then, everything went black.

When I woke up in the hospital, the doctor was scratching his head, puzzled. He could not figure out why I had gone into an allergic shock when there was no alcohol in my system.

He suggested I might want to talk to a psychiatrist.

I just smiled sadly. I was the only one who knew the truth. The allergy was not mine; it was Shane's. He had somehow made it so that I would face the effects of his allergy.

The police were confused but had to keep me in the hospital because I had threatened someone with a knife.

I decided to use the time to get some rest.

My parents came to look after me for a few days. When they heard about the divorce, they did not say much. They just told me not to worry.

With a smile, I promised them I would not. However, out of nowhere, a terrible pain hit my stomach. It felt like all the strength was being sucked out of me, and I could not stop the darkness from closing in.

Without thinking, I clicked on the group chat for flirts and saw Shane's video of him landing in Southwind Asira. He was laughing and running around the red-light district, yelling, "Guys, I'm in heaven!"

I held my aching back, shaking with anger, wishing I could chop Shane into a thousand pieces.

Right then, a mysterious call came in.

I finally got what was going on.

Over the next few days, Shane became famous for his hook-ups on international websites.

Since he was abroad and out of reach of the cops back home, he started flirty live streams on the dark web. He even dared to stream a challenge where he would sleep with as many women as he could in one day.

In my previous life, that challenge killed me. However, this time, I just relaxed and watched his stream. I even sent the link to Wren.

The day of the challenge came, and his stream blew up to the top spot. Shane looked wild with excitement, working hard with all kinds of women. However, when he got to the fifth woman, his expression went weird, and he stopped cold.

The live chat went wild, joking that he could not keep up.

Wren was all over the chat, bombarding him with questions.

[Shane, why go after other women? You said it was just an act, right? Why do this now?]

[Don't you like me anymore? You said I was your treasure, didn't you?]

[I even got a divorce for you. Those other women are nothing compared to me. Please come back! I'll make you happy!]

Wren was losing her mind, and Shane was so annoyed that he just pretended not to see her comments. He planned to continue with his live stream.

However, before he could get back into the groove, in the next second, he embarrassingly failed in front of thousands of live viewers.

The chat exploded with laughter, teasing him for not being able to handle it. He just collapsed, feeling totally weak.

I could not help but laugh until I doubled over when I saw what happened.

Wren's call came soon after. "You loser, what did you do to Shane?"

I just chuckled calmly.
