Chapter 5: My Mate

"Good evening!" Stella awkwardly greeted them and looked at Brandon. "Stella?" Flora appeared and immediately looked at Stella. "We are going to eat!" Sky said and looked at Stella. "Let's go!" He said and started walking toward the kitchen. 

Stella and Flora followed him, and Brandon was watching them leave. "I will follow them!" Brandon said, and Alpha Raven agreed with him. Stella was watching how Sky served her, and Flora didn't stop teasing her. "Where did you meet him?" Flora asked her, and Stella looked at her. "In the convenience store!" Stella answered, and Sky put the plate in front of her.

"Do you want some soda?" Sky asked her, and Stella immediately shook her head. "I'm fine with water!" Stella answered and smiled at him. "Can you serve me some food too?" Brandon appeared and sat beside Stella. They looked at him, and Sky nodded his head. "Sure, no problem!" Sky answered, and Stella cleared her throat. 

Sky served another plate to Brandon, and they started eating. "If you want anything just tell me, Stella!" Sky said, and Stella awkwardly looked at him. "You don't need to do that!" Stella said, "Just let him do that!" Brandon told her, and she looked at him. "Do you know each other?" Sky asked them. 

"No" 

"Yes" 

Stella immediately looked at Brandon, "What is the truth?" Sky asked them again. "I don't know him!" Stella said while nodding her head. She heard Brandon's laugh, but she didn't mind him at all. They finished eating, and Stella stood up from her seat. "Thank you for the meal, but I need to go!" Stella said, "I will go with you!" Flora told her, and Stella immediately refused. "I can go home alone!" Stella told her and shook her head. 

"I will go with you instead of her." Sky said, which made Stella surprised. "Are you sure?" Stella asked him, and Sky smiled at her. "Yeah, I also wanted to walk." Sky answered, and they started walking outside the house. "Are you going home now, Stella?" Beta Helias asked her, which made her stop walking. "Yes, Beta Helias! Thank you!" Stella answered and looked at Alpha Raven. "I will go now, Alpha Raven!" Stella said, and Alpha Raven nodded his head. "Be safe!" Alpha Raven told her, and she nodded her head. "I will!" She answered and started walking again. 

Stella and Sky were walking under the street lights when they heard footsteps that were following them. They stopped walking and turned around to see who was following them. "Why did you stop walking? Go on, just walk!" Brandon told them, and Stella shook her head in disbelief. She didn't know Brandon's reason why he was following them.  

"Why are you following us?" Sky asked him, and Brandon smirked at Sky. "I also wanted to walk like you do." Brandon answered and looked at Stella who was also looking at him. "Let him do that!" Stella answered and turned around. "If you didn't want me to join then I will go now!" Brandon told her, and Stella didn't answer him. 

"Fine, I'm going back!" Brandon said and didn't try to follow them again. Stella and Sky started walking again until they reached Stella's house. "Thank you, Sky!" Stella told him, and Sky smiled at her. "No worries! I will go back now!" Sky answered, and Stella nodded her head. 

Stella waited for Sky to leave and that's when she went inside their house. "Is that Sky?" Stella was startled when Daisha appeared from the living room. "You are still awake?" Stella asked her, and Daisha nodded her head. "Obviously, Stella!" Daisha told her, and Stella couldn't stop herself from rolling her eyes at her. "Okay, I will sleep now!" Stella answered and started walking towards her room. "Do you think it is unfair to your mate that you are with another man?" Daisha told her, which made Stella stop walking. "We didn't do anything wrong, Daisha! He just walked me back home!" Stella answered and rolled her eyes at her sister. "Then why are you being so rude?" Daisha asked her, and Stella smirked at her sister. "Nevermind!" Stella answered and immediately went to her room. 

The next day came, and Stella was outside cleaning their garden when her father came. "Alpha Raven told me that you were at Beta Helias' house last night. What are you doing there?" Her father asked her, and Stella stopped what she was doing. "I ate dinner there!" Stella answered, and Remus couldn't hide his amusement with his daughter. "Why did you do that?" He asked his daughter, "I just wanted to!" Stella answered and stood up from the bench. 

Stella started walking away because she didn't want to talk to her father. She went inside their house and put back the tools that she used. When she saw her father entering their house, she immediately went inside her room. "What are you doing, Stella?" She heard her father ask her but she didn't answer him. 

She stayed in her room for a while because she knew that her father would leave when dark came. "He's not here anymore, you can leave your room now." Stella heard her sister's voice outside her room. She stood up from her bed and went to the door. 

"How did you know that I was waiting for him to leave?" Stella asked her sister, "We have been living together for your entire life so I know every action you make." Daisha answered her, and Stella rolled her eyes at her. "You are observant, huh?" Stella told her, and Daisha just smirked at her. 

"I need to go somewhere just lock the door if you are going to leave the house." Daisha told her, and Stella nodded her head. "Fine!" Stella answered, and Daisha started walking away. 

Stella took a bath and left their house to meet Flora again. "How did you know Brandon?" Flora asked her as soon as they met each other. 

"Because he is my mate!" Stella answered, and Flora was surprised at what she heard. "Oh my gosh!" Flora yelled and couldn't proceed with what was happening.
