My name is Olivia Sun, I am twenty three years old and I am in love with my mother’s husband!
It all started when my mother got remarried five years ago. He was 40 years old then, dark skinned, tall, carried a buzz cut and a very sexy full beard.
It wasn’t just his physical attributes that I loved; I admired the way he spoke. His soft masculine voice, the way he walked, and the way he looks at me with affection.
But what drew me in the most were the tattoos on his arm, I might have a thing for tattoos and abs. He looked like the Mafia bosses cast in movies, hot and spicy… and for the next five years; he was my crush, my biggest secret!
I know it was wrong, I know I shouldn’t, but I just can’t help the way I feel about him.
“Olivia, I have arranged for you to meet the son of my friend, he is a medical doctor and he seems very interested in meeting you.” Mom announced at the dining table during breakfast, drawing both mine and Justin’s attention.
I dropped my spoon immediately and frowned. “What? Mom! I told you I didn’t want to meet anyone. Please cancel the meeting, I am not interested.”
“Olivia! Just meet the guy, I already fixed the date, at least respect that. What do you want me to tell him?” my mom insisted.
“I don’t know Mom, tell him anything you please, but I would not be meeting him.” I stated in finality.
Mom immediately got angry. “What is your problem? It has been over a year since you graduated from college, you don’t want to further your education, you don’t want to get a job and you also refuse to find a man and get married.” She yelled.
“Well it is my life, mother! And I am not ready for any of those things.”
“Okay, everybody calm down.” Justin involved himself, looking from me to mom.
The sound of his voice sent chills running through my body. He had a deep husky voice that makes my body jittery
“I am not going to let you ruin your life, not under my roof. The date is in one week, unless you manage to find a job before it is here, then you are going to meet him.” Mom insisted.
“And what if I refuse to see him? What then, Mom?” I asked boldly.
She stayed mute for a second, like she was thinking about it, and then she replied. “If you don’t agree to go on the date with him, then you will have to leave this house.” She announced.
Justin immediately turned to her; the surprise on his face was valid. I could not mistake the seriousness in my mom’s voice.
“What? Are you really going to throw out your own child to the streets mom?” I asked with wide eyes.
“If my child would not do as I say and insists on throwing their life away, then they can do it on the streets. You have one week to decide!” she proclaimed.
“Cool, then I better start packing!” I half-yelled, standing up from the table.
“That is enough, sit down Olivia, and everyone relax!” Justin demanded.
I sighed and sat down, unable to refuse him. It is weird how his voice was calmed but yet authoritative.
“Olivia, your mother isn’t wrong. You cannot keep on staying at home with no plans for your future, but I understand if you do not wish to get married to a stranger.” Justin spoke softly, yet his voice commanded respect.
“Could you please convince her?” My mom said to him.
“I actually do have a solution to offer. My Personal Assistant recently quit due to some personal reasons, and so there is opening at that position. Maybe Olivia would like to take it up, that way she gets to leave the house and pursue a career, get work experience while she is still with her family. That way, everybody wins.” He said.
My heart leaped in excitement when I heard those words, but I contained it with a poker face, knowing my mom would refuse if she noticed I was delighted about this.
“Well… that is not totally a bad idea; maybe she can learn a thing or two as the PA to the CEO. What do you think, Olivia? Is that good enough or would you still be packing your things?” Mom asked, her voice softer than moments ago.
“Hmm,” I smiled softly. “Fine, just so that you don’t kick me into the street. I will take it!”
“Then it is settled, you can resume tomorrow.” Justin announced, and just like that, everything was resolved, breakfast went back to normal.
I think situations like this are what makes me admire Justin a lot. He was my gold standard for what a man should be; strong, calm, smart and protective.
Who wouldn’t fall in love with a man like that?

Justin’s POVThe conference was over, Olivia and I returned to our suite. We were in another city and so we had gotten an accommodation for the night at a five star hotel. The two of us haven’t spoken much in the past week. It had been over a week since we kissed, the awkwardness hasn’t gotten any easier. But it wasn’t the kiss that was the problem, it was the aftermath. We stepped out of the elevator and went into the suite; it had a sitting room with a sofa and two bedrooms on each side. It also had a mini kitchen and an outside balcony.I immediately took off my tuxedo jacket, tossing it on the couch, then I set my cufflinks down on a side table. I loosened my bowtie and took it off as well.I noticed Olivia watching from the sofa, every move I made.“You don’t have to wait up,” I said, finally breaking the silence. “I know you have had a long night.”“I am not tired,” she replied.I sighed and shook my head, she was just as stubborn as her mother. I needed to be away from her as I
I had stepped out to deliver some files downstairs when Justin arrived at the company. I had seen him walk into the elevator without him seeing me.Shortly after, I went back up to my desk. From the glass wall demarcating us, I could see him occupied with work. I didn’t want to make this any awkward than it already was, so I went in to see him.He looked up the moment I walked in. “Olivia.” He called softly, the way he pronounced my name sent thrills of excitement through me.“Hi… Sir.” I muttered awkwardly, a bit shy. “Um… I have delivered the packages to the different levels, I have also succeeded in fixing a new date for the failed meeting.” I announced. He nodded. “Thank you Olivia.”I immediately noticed the difference in his expression; the usual glee was not there, his eyes were unreadable, cold. Was it about last night?“Um… Olivia, we need to talk.” He began, and I immediately knew where this conversation was going. My heart began to race. What was he going to say?“About las
I was at Justin’s penthouse, standing at the door unsure if to knock or not. I had walked under the rain and it did well to hide the tears marks on my face. Finally I knocked and shortly after, he opened the door.“Olivia?” he called as he looked me from head down with a surprise etched on his face. “You are soaked.” He noticed. He was not wearing a shirt, leaving his chest and abs exposed. Was he not cold?“I am sorry, I didn’t know where else to go.” I said with muffled sobs.“What happened? Come inside.” He immediately urged me, stepping aside.I walked in completely drenched. He rushed and got me a blanket, placing it over my shoulder from behind while I stood there gushing water on his tiles.“What happened Olivia?” he asked again, he was calm and gentle, his voice soothing.I sniffled, wiping the tears off my eyes. “I had a fight with my mom, it was bad, I had to leave.” I confessed.“Oh,” he whispered. “Are you alright?” he asked kindly.“No!” I broke down in tears again. “No I
One week had passed since I took the job at Miller Corporations as my Step-father’s personal assistant. I can’t lie there wasn’t any challenges, but Justin had been very patient with me, walked me through the ropes without minding the inconvenience.I walked into Justin’s office with a steaming cup of coffee in hand. “Hey… I know it is almost noon but I thought you could use another coffee since you have got a lot on your schedule today.”He looked up and smiled. “Wow, and I didn’t even have to ask. I know it has only been a week since you resumed, but believe me, you are the best Assistant I ever had.”I raised an eyebrow, giving him a half-smile. “Oh, I know you’re just pulling my leg,” I said, my voice light but teasing. “But thank you anyway. It’s good to know I’m already your favorite.” I said as I placed the cup gently on the table. He chuckled as he picked it up. “Believe me, you are the best.” He said right before turning back to the monitor screen.I leaned back slightly, cro
