8. The Perfume

“Which department are you in now?” Vincent asked while Melainy put a uni sushi into her mouth.

Melainy had to speed up her chewing - now her puffy cheeks made her look like a hamster. Vincent snickered, purposefully staring at her so that she looked even more embarrassed. Finally she finished her sushi, “Operations. Just the first rotation.”

“The heart of the company.” Vincent commented. Melainy did not really get why, but she happily took another Wagyu tartare offered by Vincent - he did not eat beef. Seeing Melainy so content with the food, Vincent suddenly felt so relaxed. He was never too particular about food. For him, there were only two types of food - hot or cold. He usually had the hot ones, but sometimes also appreciated the cold dishes such as sushi or tartrate. Same as his life - he grew up surrounded by affluent, at least middle or upper class boys and girls, but Melainy was like a cold dish - coming from a very humble family, yet a pleasantly surprised taste - well-educ
