The Underground Place II

I examine my surroundings to make sure nobody will notice me. Even though I had already assured the horseman that I would have plenty of time to explore the area, he had no reason to believe me until I said a few things that I had previously told him. Perhaps having a cause makes being strict not so bad.

When things appear to be going according to my intentions, that is.

After setting my feet firmly on the uneven ground, I straighten my coat and keep my eyes narrow as I hide in the nooks of the room. The environment is not dark. It is illuminated by a lovely golden light coming from the wall-mounted lamps.

One thing I can be sure of is that these people, who are dressed in all black and have black masks covering their faces, appear to be involved in what Alexis had depicted. My eyes follow every movement of the people surrounding the area.

Even if the people's images weren't drawn, it turns out that the deceased servant knew what he was doing.
