Elsa’s POV

“You are the reason for my personal struggles Elsa.”

“Thump! Thump!”

My heart started beating faster again, had I done something really wrong without knowing? I looked Mr Cooper in the eye. I couldn’t hide my bewilderment.

“What! How so?”

The words fell effortlessly from my mouth as if i had prepared it beforehand. I looked at my wristwatch, the lunch was coming to an end but, Mr Cooper’s choice of silence after throwing such a bombshell was starting to get on my nerves.

He gave a pitiful look which was one thing I don’t like at all, I hate being pitiful, but he was my boss, how was I to correct his notion that my life isn't that pitiful, because he had saved me in one of those low moments.

“Because…”

I listened patiently, he was about to talk, I have no idea of why he had been holding back, but I am glad he had finally made up his speech.
