Jethro's POV
“Congratulations, you have successfully proved my theory right little Miss gold digger.”
My insides twisted in rage as I saw her in a jubilant mood, I couldn't contain my anger, I spewed out the spiteful word in my heart to her, she had successfully evaded my home, my brother's heart and now my inheritance; Glassdoor Empire.
She gave me a pitiful gaze but I ignored it, I had been ridiculed by those measly directors, I was so pissed beyond words. I saw her drop the fork in her grasp and I smiled satisfactorily, it had worked again, my attempt at intimidating her!
She has always walked on eggshells around me since her arrival at the mansion and I always enjoy every bit of it, at least I have a weaker person to pick on consistently.
“Mr Davidson, you have a guest.”
One of the servants in the mansion reported to me, I eyed Elsa maliciously and made for my room after asking that they allow my guest in, just exactly what I needed at the moment, an escape!
The fair skinned amber eyed girl that I picked from the convenience store the previous week walked in. She was dressed in a skimpy gown looking like a snack ready to be devoured. I could remember her name, but at least, I had to try.
“Camela, you look stunning?”
She furrowed her brow at me, I could tell, I must have gotten it wrongly,
“Maya?” I calmly maintained eye contact with her.
She bit her lower lip but nothing in her countenance showed improvement, I must definitely have gotten it wrong again.
“I am Erica.”
“Opss! Sorry.” I remembered I was too drunk and immersed in suckling her perky breast to remember what name she told me. And today, it would be no different, all I cared about was thrusting my erection into her wetness. I got off the bed and drew her to myself,
“Gbaamm!! Gbaamm!! Gbamm!!”
I was about kissing her succulent lips when a knock sounded at the door. I was livid, but I knew I had to answer it. Another knock sounded, more thunderous than the first.
I looked down at the bulge in my underpants and anger surfaced in my mind. I had always warned those vermin of servants not to disturb me whenever I am in the middle of fun, I guess one of them needed a thorough beating today. I pushed aside Erica and made for the door.
“This had better be important!”
I opened the door just in time when a punch landed on my jaw. I staggered backward startled, Martha hadn't informed me of her visit and I knew I was doomed at that moment! How had she entered the mansion successfully?
“ You have a bitch over?”
She took a quick look at Erica who was sitting pretty on the bed, waiting patiently for me. I knew trouble was brewing, but I had to keep it in my room. I made for the door to close it when I locked eyes with her, my clumsy neighbor.
I could tell she was taken aback again but it gave me joy.
“What the hell are you looking at, wench?”

Elsa's POV
I feel my insides cringe when I lock eyes with him again in his underpants. He glared harshly at me and spat out another spiteful word. I was innocently returning from the dinning after picking on my food for several minutes before I had finally discarded it.
Some minutes ago I was jubilant, the news of my employment at Glassdoor Empire had me excited, but as usual, he had ruined it for me, damn Jethro!
I couldn't find my voice to inform him I was innocently returning from dining when he slammed his door with full force, I scoffed inwardly. That twerp still wouldn't stop picking on me when obviously he is in trouble.
I had watched his most consistent girlfriend Martha, walk in despite overhearing earlier that he had another visitor who I was certain must be another slut. I overlooked it and was about to open my room door when I heard a loud banging sound from his room.
“Ignore it Elsa, it is not your concern.”
I had to tell myself repeatedly. My phone chimed and I checked out the message.
“Congratulations Elsa, I believed in you and you proved me right.”
I was overjoyed, tears streamed down my face. Jarvis hadn't abandoned me earlier, he had given me a chance to prove myself worthy. I was going to repay his kindness by working hard and proving myself more.
“Gbamm!”
Another banging sound emaciated from Jethro's room. I was tempted to rush over and I almost did when a hand held me back.
“Ignore it.” Jarvis said, giving me a reassuring smile.
I didn't know he had returned from work. We both stood there as awkward silence ensued between us for some minutes. I didn't know where and how to start from.
Millions of questions ran through my mind but I couldn't ask,
Why had he helped me?
Why areq we watching his brother in such a precarious situation without stepping in?
He took my hand and we walked back to our usual spot by the laundry room. He was silent and so was I. I noticed he was still officially dressed, definitely, he was just returning from work.
“You were superb today, the look on my brother’s face in the interview room told it all.”
“You were watching us?”
I was taken aback then the realization hit me, he was the acting CEO, of course CCTV of the company will be installed in his office. He nodded in affirmation and we both laughed.
“Why did we have to leave Jethro to the angry ladies?” I questioned curiously avoiding his gaze.
“Are you feeling sorry for him? Not to worry, Well, it is not the first time.”
“Oh!”
My mind drifted off to my observation, everyone in the mansion had always acted nonchalantly towards the abnormalities going on around. Millions of questions filled my curiosity but I don't think I should ask, afterall I have a lesser amount of days left to spend in that hellhole.
“Are you getting prepared for your resumption at work?”
“Not yet Mr Davidson, I was on my way back to my room after lunch when you saw me earlier.”
He furrowed his brow slightly and I felt ashamed, had I let him down? Had picking on food for hours made me appear unserious?
“I have told you countless times to call me Jarvis.”
“...and I have told you countless times to stop hanging around this lowlife girl.”
We both turned suddenly at the harsh voice, there he was, dressed in an almost ragged cloth, with a creased brow. Jethro seemed obviously hellbent on frustrating me, his brunette haired girlfriend stood by his side dressed in a skimpy outfit strangely different from the one she had on when she walked in.
“Her name is Elsa…brother.”
I saw Jarvis stood up taller, he took a few steps closer to his brother and their faces were only inches apart. I knew trouble was brewing, to my surprise, Jethro's girlfriend just kept giggling stupidly watching the brothers charade.
“Come on Martha, let's get the hell out of here.”
Jethro spanked his girlfriend’s butt and they left us there. I released the long breath I was holding. Jarvis looked to be relieved of their presence too.
Just when I was worried about him handling his unfortunate situation with the girls, I was wrong, it definitely wasn't the first time.
“See, I told you.” Jarvis said, shrugging his shoulders, I could tell I was the only one that found it all weird. We were on the verge of starting a new topic when something occurred to me,and I tapped Jarvis’s shoulder slightly,
“Jarvis, the other girl?”
We both exchanged knowing looks and at the same time, rushed over to Jethro's room. The door was locked, but we could hear muffled screams. Fresh sweat broke from my skin as I imagined the worst happening,
What had the crazy couple done with her?
We banged on the door, but our attempt was futile. I asked Jarvis if he had a spare key, but unfortunately he didn't, I urged him to break down the door if he could, we exchanged curious looks and eventually, he gave in to trying hard.
After ten minutes of banging hard on it, it finally dragged open, Jarvis was sweating profusely from the impact of banging himself hard against the door.
To our surprise, the girl was tied to the bed totally naked and her mouth was taped. Jarvis looked away instantly and he turned his back, I rushed over to the girl and untied her, removed the tape in her mouth.
I noticed Martha’s cloth lay helplessly on the edge of the bed, she must have taken off wearing the girl's cloth. She pushed me aside without appreciation and made for Jarvis. She walked up to him and
smacked him across the face.
“Crazy bastard!!!”
Jarvis eyes widened in disbelief and so did mine.
“What the hell was that for?”
Yoka’s POVAs I watched Jethro stagger out of the club house, fresh anger surged in me. I felt my insides turn at the thought of his foolishness. That spoiled brat definitely wasn’t going to grow up anytime soon.I started undressing myself leaving my shorts on. I had to return to the inner warehouse where I was arranging my goods before he called for me. Being born poor had always been my undoing. A privilege Jethro Davidson had but couldn’t tap into it.Numbskull!“Yoka, the party is over already?” The lanky gatekeeper questioned me teasingly.“Yeah, the billionaire brat left early, he was totally drunk and out of it.” I responded dejectedly.I walked past the gatekeeper and made for my turf, it had always been the safest place for me in the world. Growing up on the streets, surviving on distributing drugs hasn’t been an easy feat for me, but meeting a spoilt brat made me envy being born in wealth so much.Unfortunately, it was too late for me.I felt my insides cringe from listenin
Elsa’s POV It has been weeks but it all felt the same, the loneliness slowly creeping into my mind. I had a million reasons to blame myself for my father’s untimely demise.I shouldn’t have allowed him to go out that day!I should have stopped him from returning to Los Angeles! But none of it feels right. Jarvis had kept on consoling me, he had told me it wasn’t our faults for losing our fathers to the cold arms of death yet, it was difficult to accept.I am totally an orphan.“Miss Williams , I have been calling out to you for some time, is everything alright?”I turned to face my colleague and forced on a smile just as I have been doing for quite awhile now. He returned my smile and walked away. Thankfully it was obvious he understood that I needed my time alone. The painful memory of my mother showing up at my father's funeral still hurts so much. The moment she had walked into the hall, I knew beyond reasonable doubt that she was my deadbeat mother.I took a glaring resemblance t
Jethro’s POV I slammed my hand on the table as fresh anger surged in me. All eyes turned in my direction but I didn’t care. I really wished father was here,I could have given him a huge chunk of my mind.“Never! I do not agree with everything!” I shouted at the top of my voice.Everyone else seemed affected by my action except one person , my twin brother Jarvis. He just stood there unshaken as if he wasn’t the exact villain in my life story.“Mr Jethro Davidson, please be seated, there is more to be said.”More to be said! What more could be said than the trashy bullshit I just heard a few minutes earlier. Father had given his entire company to my brother and then he compensated me with some measly amount of money and landed properties. Was he freaking joking!I had listened to him, when he insisted that I work at the company. I had enslaved myself by listening to him. I had shown up almost everyday, changed my appearance and even related with lowly people at the company.“Mr David
Jarvis’s POV One last look at the mirror, a teardrop on my left cheek. I took another look at myself, my black suit, bow tie and unstyled hair. I didn’t know how best to console myself because I never planned to dress for this occasion too soon.Father’s demise was a total tragedy!Unfortunately I am not alone in this, the only woman I love is also mourning. I wasn’t strong enough to hold myself together, how would I console Elsa? The day had started on a happy note, the two men had made it to drink and catch up on old times, only for us to individually receive distress calls of their demise in an accident.“Jarvis, aren’t you done yet?” I heard Jethro’s voice from the doorway.“I am ready.” I said in a barely audible voice.I had soaked my bed with tears last night. Unlike Jethro, I wasn’t strong enough to hold back my emotions. To make matters worse, when Elsa and I met at the hospital, she had paled out so much within a day.My pain intensified!I dragged my foot and made for the
Patrick’s POVIt is all so glaring now that my speculation was right, Jake Davidson had truly been remorseful. My daughter had been beaming with smiles all day, her diamond glittering ring had been the topic in the house. My companion Leila, her garrulous friend hadn’t spared me out of her impending wedding party plans. She had even described the imaginative wedding scene she envisioned, with her being the bridesmaid and me walking Elsa down the aisle to the altar, in truth, It sounds so amazing!I had watched my daughter’s reactions to it all, just as Jake Davidson had said, the last time we met, drawing up a contract that favors us was definitely going to put my mind at ease especially now that we were leaving Los Angeles.Crownstar Group, my daughter’s workplace and Glassdoor Empire had concluded their collaboration and the project turned out successful, so now it was time to return home,Strangely, it feels like home here too.I had lived a greater part of my life in this very to
Jarvis’s POV It was the day finally!I stood there in the midst of the rest of the staff at Glassdoor Empire as the sendforth party for Elsa’s team went on. I was torn between immeasurable joy and a sense of loss. She was leaving, walking out of my space again. I tried to make sense of my feelings but I guess I have gotten too attached to seeing her stunning face everyday, that was why I couldn’t bear the thought of her impending absence.“I am specially grateful to the CEO of Crownstar Group for the wonderful team he set up, the collaboration was a great success to both of our companies.”I could feel the insincerity behind my father’s words, it was true the collaboration was a success and the CEO of Crownstar empire had put up a great team, but my father definitely wasn’t grateful to him.My father had spent the better hours of his morning speaking ill of the CEO, since his team arrived at Glassdoor Empire, he had made no attempt to have a direct conversation with my father, appare
