Jarvis’s POV

I had to hold my stinging cheeks as my eyes widened. The stack naked girl glared threateningly at me, I cringed slightly backing away from her.

“Crazy bastard!”

I heard her scream, I wanted to shout back at her and ask her why she had done that to me when all I did was try to help her, when I heard Elsa's voice as her thoughts had mirrored mine.

“What the hell was that for?”

I heard her scream loudly at the girl. In all honesty, I knew I didn't need to wait to be told because I can guess the exact reason, the same reason why I had to endure countless abusive treatments from total strangers while we were studying abroad.

My unfortunate resemblance to my identical twin brother Jethro!

“It is fine.”

I said to Elsa whose countenance had flared up towards the weeping naked girl. I gave her a reassuring gaze and looked around the room and my eyes landed on Jethro's big shirt and I threw it to her.

“Put some clothes on.”

“ After your delinquent wench took mine?”

“I am not Jethro okay, I am Jarvis, his twin brother.” I responded impatiently.

I watched something twist in the girl's eyes, it looked like she felt remorse for attacking me but I didn't care, she hastily draped the cloth over her naked body and at that moment, finally she felt ashamed in my sight.

I had the urge to question her further on what had transpired in the room but before I could process a way to put it she already spoke up sharing her pleading gaze between Elsa and I.

“I do not want this to get out, please pretend this never happened.”

Elsa and I shared curious gazes and watched in wonderment as the girl picked up her bag and walked out of the room, more like staggered.

“This is crazy.” Elsa said, nodding her head in dissatisfaction.

“I have seen worse, my brother likes it kinky.” I said nonchalantly.

I saw something twist in Elsa's eyes and my mind wondered desperately,

Hope Jethro hadn't made a stupid move on her?

But how was I to inquire?

“Mr Dav……my bad…Jarvis, can we get out of here, I am feeling nauseated by it all already.”

I must be honest, my brother's reckless living was always a source of concern to me, but hearing Elsa's disdain of it, I couldn't help but feel ashamed of my family, my father had failed us outrightly.

We walked out of the room and Elsa excused herself to retire to hers, I knew I needed to do the same, my office shirt had been totally soaked with sweat from trying to break down the door and feeding my eyes with the ungodly sight of the girl's nakedness! Gosh,

My day has been packed with pain!

The morning came sooner than I expected as I had to roll off the bed in anger. The insistent blaring of the alarm clock made returning to my pleasant dream impossible. I clumsily made it to the bathroom and poured myself some cold water, shampooed my hair and dried it up in haste.

I opened my bedroom door after dressing up in a bid to make for the dinning when Elsa's room door swing opened. I had to hold back myself from covering my mouth with my free palm, she was almost unrecognizable!

Dressed in an official blue knee length gown and a few inches heels, she had tidied up her hair in a bun and plastered a light makeup on her face. I had always seen her looking casual every time so I got used to her usual subtle look except on her interview day when she had dressed up too but I didn't give her an up close look but today she looked so…. vibrant.

“Good morning Jarvis.”

She said with a charming smile that I could barely resist, I smiled back at her.

“I can see you are all prepared.”

I had to resist the urge to tell her how good she looked, that would be cliche, she nodded slightly in affirmation, Jethro wasn't totally wrong, Elsa was starting to grow on me.

We both made for the dinning room where our breakfast was already served, to my astonishment, guess who graced the table first?

Jethro!!!

He had always been the last to wake up in the house every normal day, seeing him all dressed up in his favorite shimmering suit, I knew he was coming to the company with me today.

“A beautiful morning to you Jarvis.”

I ignored his foolish grimming and sarcastic greeting, I noticed Elsa flinched slightly beside me. I knew he must have said something displeasing to her after she had aced the interview despite him trying to disqualify her.

“You seem energetic for work today after yesterday’s charade.” I said, eyeing him maliciously.

The memory of the thunderous slap that landed on my cheek from the naked girl surfaced in my head. A part of my heart detested Jethro that moment.

“Ignore those gold digging bitches, but I wasn't pleased you destroyed my doorknob brother!”

I noticed his eyes travelled towards Elsa who was still standing there stoic. I drew out one of the dining chairs and told her to sit on it which she did. Jethro had always had insane confidence even when he was wrong, how dare he worry about his doorknob when he tied a girl to his bed against her freewill.

“Just so you know, I will be coming to work from now on.”

I settled down on another chair as Jethro's pronouncement settled in. He had never been interested in the company from onset, why now?

Was it to frustrate Elsa?

Or is the blow directed at my throat?

“Aren't you happy I finally found the zeal to run the company with you? Or am I a hindrance?” I heard him say.

“I think I just lost my appetite!”

I said to no one in particular and stood up from my seat. I called out to the head maid to pack me some food baskets and another for Elsa who had taken the clue and stood up too.

“Come on Elsa, I will drop you off.”

“What about me?” Jethro said from behind me, I turned to face him, he was throwing shades at the cowering Elsa. I held out my hand to Elsa and she took it.

“You have a car brother, you can find your own way.”

I heard Jethro mutter inaudible curses but I didn't care whatever he was going on about, I wasn't going to allow him to keep treating the innocent Elsa like that.

We were about to walk out of the dining room when someone rushed past us in bikini underpants.

“What the hell was she still doing here!” I wondered desperately.

“Jethro, I found it.”

The brunette haired lady ignored us and rushed over to my brother almost naked. I was livid, our once welcoming home is now being treated like a brothel.

Elsa tightened her grip on mine and we were almost out of the door when I heard my brother’s mockery remark,

“Pretentious gold digging bitch, I will prove to you that I am a Davidson and it is my company.”

I knew Elsa heard it too, it was followed by Martha, the brunette haired slut my brother frolics around with irritating giggles. A part of me wanted to turn back but Elsa held my hand and nodded in disapproval.

I let out a frustrated sigh and we made for the car. I was about to zoom off when the head maid rushed over to us with two large food baskets. I collected them and thanked her.

She gave me a warm smile and requested for a minute of my time. I granted it to her but what she said saddened my heart greatly.

“Thank you for saving that little girl from last night, I saw her on her way out, it turns out it was my precious niece.”

“What?” I felt a sense of shame towards the woman, Jethro had continuously soiled the Davidson's integrity from time to time. I noticed Elsa's mood further dwindled beside me.

“Yes, she was a little promiscuous and…..”

“I am sorry madam, I apologize on my brother's behalf, his reckless behaviors are unforgivable and I….”

I saw a tear drop from her eyes and she hastily cleaned it up with her apron. I could tell there are millions of words in Elsa's mind, her first day of work at Glassdoor empire was already getting filled with negative beginnings.

I was used to either consoling Jethro's victims or taking the fall for his misdeeds. this was just one of many for me until the woman's next word hit me!

“She is just seventeen years old! A mere underage!”

“What?” I shouted in awe.

“Your brother sleeps with underage girls too?” Elsa's voice broke through spelling out the crime.

“And what is that blasphemy I am hearing ag

ainst me?”

We all turned to see Jethro standing in the doorway with a dangerous glint in his already bloodshot eyes directed towards Elsa.

Yoka’s POVAs I watched Jethro stagger out of the club house, fresh anger surged in me. I felt my insides turn at the thought of his foolishness. That spoiled brat definitely wasn’t going to grow up anytime soon.I started undressing myself leaving my shorts on. I had to return to the inner warehouse where I was arranging my goods before he called for me. Being born poor had always been my undoing. A privilege Jethro Davidson had but couldn’t tap into it.Numbskull!“Yoka, the party is over already?” The lanky gatekeeper questioned me teasingly.“Yeah, the billionaire brat left early, he was totally drunk and out of it.” I responded dejectedly.I walked past the gatekeeper and made for my turf, it had always been the safest place for me in the world. Growing up on the streets, surviving on distributing drugs hasn’t been an easy feat for me, but meeting a spoilt brat made me envy being born in wealth so much.Unfortunately, it was too late for me.I felt my insides cringe from listenin

Elsa’s POV It has been weeks but it all felt the same, the loneliness slowly creeping into my mind. I had a million reasons to blame myself for my father’s untimely demise.I shouldn’t have allowed him to go out that day!I should have stopped him from returning to Los Angeles! But none of it feels right. Jarvis had kept on consoling me, he had told me it wasn’t our faults for losing our fathers to the cold arms of death yet, it was difficult to accept.I am totally an orphan.“Miss Williams , I have been calling out to you for some time, is everything alright?”I turned to face my colleague and forced on a smile just as I have been doing for quite awhile now. He returned my smile and walked away. Thankfully it was obvious he understood that I needed my time alone. The painful memory of my mother showing up at my father's funeral still hurts so much. The moment she had walked into the hall, I knew beyond reasonable doubt that she was my deadbeat mother.I took a glaring resemblance t

Jethro’s POV I slammed my hand on the table as fresh anger surged in me. All eyes turned in my direction but I didn’t care. I really wished father was here,I could have given him a huge chunk of my mind.“Never! I do not agree with everything!” I shouted at the top of my voice.Everyone else seemed affected by my action except one person , my twin brother Jarvis. He just stood there unshaken as if he wasn’t the exact villain in my life story.“Mr Jethro Davidson, please be seated, there is more to be said.”More to be said! What more could be said than the trashy bullshit I just heard a few minutes earlier. Father had given his entire company to my brother and then he compensated me with some measly amount of money and landed properties. Was he freaking joking!I had listened to him, when he insisted that I work at the company. I had enslaved myself by listening to him. I had shown up almost everyday, changed my appearance and even related with lowly people at the company.“Mr David

Jarvis’s POV One last look at the mirror, a teardrop on my left cheek. I took another look at myself, my black suit, bow tie and unstyled hair. I didn’t know how best to console myself because I never planned to dress for this occasion too soon.Father’s demise was a total tragedy!Unfortunately I am not alone in this, the only woman I love is also mourning. I wasn’t strong enough to hold myself together, how would I console Elsa? The day had started on a happy note, the two men had made it to drink and catch up on old times, only for us to individually receive distress calls of their demise in an accident.“Jarvis, aren’t you done yet?” I heard Jethro’s voice from the doorway.“I am ready.” I said in a barely audible voice.I had soaked my bed with tears last night. Unlike Jethro, I wasn’t strong enough to hold back my emotions. To make matters worse, when Elsa and I met at the hospital, she had paled out so much within a day.My pain intensified!I dragged my foot and made for the

Patrick’s POVIt is all so glaring now that my speculation was right, Jake Davidson had truly been remorseful. My daughter had been beaming with smiles all day, her diamond glittering ring had been the topic in the house. My companion Leila, her garrulous friend hadn’t spared me out of her impending wedding party plans. She had even described the imaginative wedding scene she envisioned, with her being the bridesmaid and me walking Elsa down the aisle to the altar, in truth, It sounds so amazing!I had watched my daughter’s reactions to it all, just as Jake Davidson had said, the last time we met, drawing up a contract that favors us was definitely going to put my mind at ease especially now that we were leaving Los Angeles.Crownstar Group, my daughter’s workplace and Glassdoor Empire had concluded their collaboration and the project turned out successful, so now it was time to return home,Strangely, it feels like home here too.I had lived a greater part of my life in this very to

Jarvis’s POV It was the day finally!I stood there in the midst of the rest of the staff at Glassdoor Empire as the sendforth party for Elsa’s team went on. I was torn between immeasurable joy and a sense of loss. She was leaving, walking out of my space again. I tried to make sense of my feelings but I guess I have gotten too attached to seeing her stunning face everyday, that was why I couldn’t bear the thought of her impending absence.“I am specially grateful to the CEO of Crownstar Group for the wonderful team he set up, the collaboration was a great success to both of our companies.”I could feel the insincerity behind my father’s words, it was true the collaboration was a success and the CEO of Crownstar empire had put up a great team, but my father definitely wasn’t grateful to him.My father had spent the better hours of his morning speaking ill of the CEO, since his team arrived at Glassdoor Empire, he had made no attempt to have a direct conversation with my father, appare
