I glanced through the archives on my computer and blinked back a few tears that tried to escape. If I could turn back the hands of time, I would. I was truly sorry for all I did and though there was a sort of calm now, I knew it was simply the calm before the raging thunderstorm that was going to hit me.

I thought back to Hannah. We had a great time in Santorini, she didn't want to leave. To be honest, I didn't want to leave either. Confessing that I had developed a soft spot for her was a spontaneous but deliberate move. It was a way to keep her on my side if things went south. I needed her to be in love with me by the time things would get a little rough. It sounds selfish, I know, but I couldn't let her out of my sight and away from my side. It was too much of a risk. I hated having to lie to her but it was necessary in this case.
