Chapter 21

I turned around in the bed, gradually opening my eyes. I felt a headache coming on, but it wasn't something I was going to worry too much about.

I took in a deep breath, taking in the infamous smell of the hospital, you know, how hospitals smell. I hated the smell but got used to it eventually, due to my frequent visits to the hospital, being pregnant and all.

I glanced at my watch, it was 2:50p.m. I had to get back home. I didn't want to stay here any longer. I needed to be somewhere safe and comfortable right now - if that house could be called safe. Was I safe there anymore? What if Adam got released and returned to meet me in the house? What would he do to me?

Maybe it's time I got a new apartment for myself.

I hadn't decided on the new apartment thought but I knew I had to consider it. But what would that mean? Was I running away from Adam?
