"Emily I...wait, what are you doing here?" Adam drew back from me, examining me like I'd just hopped out of a car involved in a fatal accident.
What was I to tell him? That I needed to refresh my life and I decided to cut him and Adam off of my life? No, I wasn't going to tell him that.

After we paid for the phone and got of the mall, it immediately occurred to me that I hadn't gotten any groceries, and other stuff I'd need in the house. I told Daniel this as we got into the car but he told me not to worry, that he knew a better place for us to shop for groceries and stuff. We drove off the mall with me staring down at my new phone."What are you staring at it for? Turn it on!" Daniel urged and I placed my thumb on the side button, pressing and holding it in for a few seconds. The screen came on immediately."It's on."
