Chapter 3- Into hiding

Everything was back into normal…or so I thought it was.

“ Come to my office.” I rolled my eyes to the voice of Alpha Nicholas who just spoke in my mind. “ Busy day, Alpha.”  Perhaps, one of the things that I wanted to do today is to feel normal and to act normal. All of the things that are happening around me are somewhat making me lose my mind. It makes me full of mixed emotions about the things that didn’t go well with my principle in life.

“Devon, are you going out today?” Anna asked. She’s my roommate and she’s not nice, well not really. The queen bee of this university and the number one fan of the alpha twins. I only gave her a small smile before shaking my head to answer her question. Laying down, reading books or perhaps taking a nap is just some of the good idea that I have for this day.

She looks disgusted because of what I said. She’s not really a fan of me, especially because I don’t hang out with her or with others. “Nerdy life again, huh?” she mocked before looking at herself in the mirror. Every day, she’s wearing a very skimpy dress. Something that shows her skin in a very revealing way. The management can’t do anything about her dress but this school is very strict to dress codes. There is really an exception for every rule.

Her lips look bloody when she applied her lipsticks. “I will try to bump to Alpha Nicholas,” she giggles to herself. What an idiot and hopeless girl. “Maybe you can ask Alpha Antonio about the whereabouts of his twin? Oi! Is he your mate?” she asked, suddenly remembering about my birthday which she didn’t even have the audacity to greet me.

Sighing, I put my book down to answer her. “No, and why do you care?” She hissed at my rude answer but nevertheless, she only kept her mouth shut and open the door to leave. “Bye, bitch.” I laughed to myself saying that rude words which only made her glare at me. Alpha Antonio is a blessing in disguise because he’s close too me, no wolf tries to do me harm. That is his power, he lures anyone who will try to touch his best friend to the pit of hell.

Suddenly, the chilly wind gave me goosebumps. For a second, I wondered if I left the windows open but I shrugged it off since maybe, Anna didn’t close it earlier. Lazily, I stood up and close it along with the cream-long curtain before I sighs and decided to get my towel for a quick shower.

 I took my steps and movements as if I owned the whole time of my life, the hot water poured upon my hands before I locked the door and stripped all of my clothes. Because who showers while wearing their clothes right? But when my eyes landed on the mirror, hanging just in front of me, I shrieked.

“ What the hell are you doing here?!”

Quickly, I grab the towel and wrapped it around my body before I looked at the eyes of the pervert man who just invaded my privacy. He’s laughing…no…he’s grinning and I don’t know what kind of brain does he have if he thinks this is funny.

He claps his hand before he looked at my body one more time. “ Nice butt,” he commented and I didn’t hesitate to throw the bottle of shampoo even if he’s our alpha.

“ Pervert!” My cheeks is so hot and red because of his teasing and I wasn’t ready to flash myself to someone like him. No one…no one ever saw me naked.

Then we heard footsteps coming closer. “ Devon? Are you there?” My body went numb and my breathing stopped when I recognized who’s voice it is. It’s Alpha Antonio and he’s coming closer. Alha Nicholas tried to grabbed the doorknob to get out but I pushed him to the wall, pinning him before I tried to hear Alpha Antonio once again.

“ Are you okay? Did you just slipped?” He curiously asked laughing before I heard a series of knocks on the door. Alpha Antonio tried to talk but I was quick to put my palm into his mouth to stop his attempts of making a noise.

“ What do you think you’re doing?” He said through mind linking but I only glare at him before signaling him to quiet down.

“ Shut up!”

He's not happy with me, commanding him but I don’t care about him. All I care about is Alpha Antonio and what he will think of me once he found out that I was alone…with his twin..in a bathroom…and naked. Gosh! I might just have died here and forgotten that all of these things are happening to me.

“ If you’re not going to open this, I will get inside Devon. Are you really okay?”

That made me panicked. For the love of the moon goddess! If I open the door, he will think of me that I am one of his brother’s whores. Alpha Nicholas is having a good time realizing my situation. He wasn’t struggling or anything but he just leans his body against the wall and crosses his arms to his chest to watch what I am going to do in this situation.

“ Go ahead, open the door.” He teased once again, his voice ringing inside my head. My palm firmly presses to his mouth to make him shut up but Alpha Nicholas only bore his amused eyes.

The door knob moved and that made me jump into it to hold it down, to stop Alpha Antonio from going inside. “ Devon! What’s happening?” he asked when he noticed how I hindered his attempt. Alpha Nicholas grabbed my waist and he’s sniffing into my neck while my hand is holding the knob, stopping it from opening.

“ What the heck are you doing?” I hissed because of his sudden change of attitude. I can feel his grin on my neck before his tongue slips right into my ears. A flicker of pleasurable sensations runs down through my thighs.

“ I can’t wait…” his last words are audible because my mind shut down at the moment when he leans forward and planted a kiss on my bare neck. For a second, I panicked because I thought he was going to mark me as his mate but he senses it. “ Relax, I wouldn’t do that here.”

“ Devon!”

Was the kiss that good that I forgot I was holding the knob and stopping Alpha Antonio from seeing us inside?

“ Are—Are you okay?” he weirdly asked before looking at me. I nodded and looked behind me curious if why he hasn’t said anything.

“ W-What?”

“ Why? Is someone here?” He asked before he looked at my body which was only being covered by a towel before his eyes roamed inside the bathroom. He’s checking the inside and I am still panicking about him, knowing that his twin is just here just a second earlier.

His hands landed into the window, covered by a curtain that is weirdly opened out. Maybe, Alpha Nicholas used that as an escape route.

“ Hello, privacy?” I tried to shift his mind to something, afraid that he might discover about it. Alpha Antonio only laughed before he playfully twirls my hair, enjoying the softness of it.

He’s really had a fetish for hairs because he sniffs on it before he leaves. I thought he’s going to wait for me outside but then he turned around, with his dark unusual eyes.

“ Tell me. Was Alpha Nicholas here?”

A moment of silence. I don’t know what to say to defend myself then he growls when his eyes landed on my neck. I tried to call his name but he’s eager to leave and slammed the door right out of my face.

With a trembling hand, I tried to see my neck. There, visibly red, is the proof that Alpha Nicholas just kissed me here today.
