Chapter Twenty Six

The Dark Side

Silver sat alone on the bed, sad eyes looking longingly at Rodriguez’ side of the bed. She hadn’t seen the older man since the afternoon and had no idea where he could be. Sighing sadly, she moved from the bed towards the bathroom, deciding that a bath would probably do her some good.

Stripping off her clothes she caught sight of a picture on the dresser, it was mainly covered by some other items but the small frame was still visible nevertheless. Picking up the frame she smiled at a much much younger version of Rodriguez, he looked to be about five or six and he had his arms slung over the shoulder of another boy his age.

Silver frowned. Those eyes looked oddly familiar, she wracked her brain for some minutes trying to pinpoint where exactly she had seen those eyes but gave up after a couple minutes of coming up blank.
