CHAPTER FOURTY-FIVE: Speechless

For a moment, I took a glass of wine and sipped it.

“Anyway, did you too Adam already have time to talk with each other? I mean, you too are closed with each other?” I stopped sipping the wine when my ears become interested in hearing his words as he uttered them.

I inhaled first before I let out a word. “Honestly, no. We're not...” he said straightforwardly. I noticed a glimpse of his smile plastered on his lips.

He leaned his back on his seat and took a glass of wine, sipping it.

“U-uh, okay..” I just said. Maybe I'll be looks like a detective if I keep asking about him and Adam, and he might be asking more for questioning him. That’s enough for me for now to know it.

I shrugged. I just sipped my wine in my glass.

“Lola, about what did you say to me…” he placed his glass on the table. He crossed his legs while his hands were still holding his wine.

“Oh. Is it about my friends? Am I right?” making it clear to him. I smiled while putting down the glass to put my attention on him
