Adam intentionally did it! He intended to make her look foolish on purpose! How could this world contain such a vile man? Did he obtain the marriage certificate merely to make fun of her?

Adam’s lips curved slightly as he saw her standing there, shocked, and said, "Ny, go on."

Huff. Mia inhaled deeply while fighting the impulse to give him a strong slap across the face. She remained motionless, though.

"What, do you want them to pay for you to play?" Adam asked again in jest.

"No need!" Mia glared at him before gracefully turning around and making her way to the stage while her skirt swayed. She wouldn't allow him to shame her if that was his intention!

What  Adam didn't know was that  she could play the piano, she was very good at it. When  she and Nyla were little, their father taught them how to play. Mia only learned it for fun, while Nyla decided to become a pianist.

Mia sat down next to the white piano, her thin fingers lightly touching the keys. She looked at Adam mockingly and then pressed down on the keys. Immediately, a beautiful piano music echoed.

Adam was moved by the lovely music from the very first note! She was able to play! She was even more proficient at the piano than Nyla, given her finger technique!

This was a test from him. He wanted to see what she would do in a helpless situation without an help from him, and surprisingly she passed. Now, he reasoned his decision to obtain the marriage certificate with her was the correct decision.

Few days after the wedding, he had gone to another country for a business deal. He reasoned that if Nyla could continue to play her part for almost two years that he would be away, he would fulfill his husband's obligation and show her the respect a wife deserves once he returned back.

However, he saw Nyla in the country he traveled to playing piano without her seeing him, and out of confusion, he had called the maid at his mansion to ask if Nyla was at home and he was told by the maid that she was indeed at home. He had been confused at first why he was seeing Nyla here and she was also at his house, that was when he asked his P.A to investigate and found out they were twins and Nyla wasn’t the one he married but her sister, Mia.

He had been angry at first, that was why when he came back home, he told Mia that they should carry out their wedding night to see the way she'll react. The way she reacted truly proved that she was indeed not Nyla.

Not convinced enough, he had taken Mia's phone when she was sleeping after seeing her put her passport earlier, and unlocked the phone. And when he saw the texts from Nyla, he became convinced.

But now, Adam knew Mia was definitely the better twin.

Mia pulled back her hands, lifted her skirt, and got to her feet as the song came to an end. She turned to see the audience enthralled with her performance below the stage.

With a small smile, she got ready to move aside. However, a large hand suddenly extended in front of her.

"Be careful," he said as she raised her head to meet Adam’s kind stare.

Avoid falling. Mia gave him a silent glance. How lovely it would be if he could actually treat her this well. She had a gut feeling that everything he did outdoors was because she stood in for his Mrs. Bowen, Nyla.

"Wow!" Mia said, hiding her feelings as she gently put her hand on Adam’s large palm and let him to help her off the stage. Thunderous applause erupted from the side at this point.

Anthony approached. "Whoa! I’m speechless.”

"That's right! It feels ten times better than watching it on video!"

Adam put Mia’s hand in his arm and laughed quietly. Instead of making him feel ashamed, Mia’s performance made him proud.

"Nyla?"

Abruptly, they heard a woman's voice next to them coming from the door. The next moment, a well-dressed woman came over. She stared at Mia, scrutinizing her with an antagonistic expression. "You're here.” she said, furrowing her brows after examining Mia from head to toe for a minute.

Mia’s hand on Adam’s arm tightened, as did her heart. She gave the woman a composed grin while attempting to control her panic. Who was this woman now?

"Can't you recognize me?" the woman snarled as she turned to face Mia after looking at Adam.

Mia’s smile froze in its tracks.

"Wendy Shaw." Adam took Mia’s hand just as she was at a loss. She nearly pierced his skin with her nails.

Adam scowled at the woman in front of him and stated, "Everyone in this city knows that you and Nyla do not get along. Here, quit acting like you're friends.”

Wendy’s smile vanished in an instant. She had the same piano teacher as Nyla, but years ago, Nyla’s extraordinary talent caused her to fall far behind. She wished she could vanish from this city since she had always been envious of Nyla.

Later, a piano instructor found Nyla and she became his final pupil. She and Nyla were very different after that. She had never seen Nyla again after that.

"Mr. Bowen, that's an old story. Nyla and I..."

Somehow, Wendy could tell that the woman in front of her was not Nyla, but confused at the same time why she had the appearance of Nyla.

"Honey." Mia suddenly gave Adam a light armshake. Raising her head, she gave him a cute grin and said, "I'm hungry."

After softly pinching her sensitive face with his fingers and curving his lips, Adam whispered, "Let me take you to eat."

They both left as if Wendy didn't exist after saying that. Wendy was upset. Her lips twisted into a mocking smile as she glanced at Mia’s back. She pulled her phone out.

She surreptitiously shot pictures of Mia and Adam while feigning to be looking for something on her phone. Luckily she had Nyla as a friend on F******k, but she didn't have her phone number.

She posted the picture on F******k and tagged Nyla on the post. With the caption: (Mr. Bowen is really romantic. Look how affectionate he is with his wife in public. So jealous of them, OMG!)

There were multiple pictures of Adam dotingly looking at Mia in front of him. Indeed they looked like a couple In-love.

Wendy pondered how the real Nyla would react to these pictures if this one wasn't her. Hehe.

Mia’s once-smiling expression quickly darkened as soon as they got in the car and departed Rio club.

After giving Adam a nasty stare, she moved her butt in an attempt to put as much space between them as possible in the automobile.

Adam gave her a quick look. She was on the verge of embedding herself in the automobile door! It was clear that he was despised. He remained silent and turned to the driver.

"Go to the manor," he said to the driver, curving his lips.

The Bowen manor? Mia, who had been at ease, became tense once more. Attending a luncheon today nearly cost her half of her life. But now he wanted to bring her to his grandfather’s house

"Mr. Bowen!" She said.

Adam turned and gave her a look that meant “she was making a mistake”

Was he attempting to frighten her into having a heart attack and dying today?

"Honey." Adam said with a slight frown.

Mia was furious! What nonsense honey.

“H-Honey. Mr. Bowen, do you think you're really my husband just because I call you honey?" she protested angrily, glancing at Adam’s attractive face. “Remember that I'm not Nyla.” She said in a low voice that only she and Adam could hear.

Adam became irate right away. He pivoted and put both hands on the car’s glass as his face was closer to her and he pressed himself against her.
