chapter nine
When we got back to the pack house we were all fairly tired from our trip. Dominic texted someone and just explained a couple of his warriors would come get our things and just leave them outside of our room for now he just wanted to take a nap with me. I nodded and said good by to Amelia and Xander and thanked them for coming with us again. They both just gave a small nod as we went seperate ways.
Once snuggled safely and comfortably in bed next to Dominic he started to play with my hair and I smiled at him. We had some lights on so it wasn't completely dark but the low lighting made his golden eyes seem to glow and I was mesmerized yet again by them. He rolled onto his back after a few moments and let a sigh escape from him. I propped myself up on my elbow and looked at him with my head slightly tilted. He turned his head to me and smiled.

By the time I woke up Dominic was already gone. My guess was to go for morning training. I couldn't blame him. He was probably conflicted in emotions over what I had told him last night. He was probably equal parts angry at Elstan for what I had suffered through and hurt that I had suffered so much and no one had realized it or stopped it. I didn't blame him for how he probably was feeling. I noticed the bags from yesterday neatly arranged by my closet door. I got out of bed with a smile on my face for the first time in a while. I was eager to put the clothes away and just pick out a nice casual outfit for today. It also meant I finally had clean undergarments and that made me crave a shower more then anything. I awoke early, well before Doms alarm even went off. I slid out of bed and into my closet to grab a work out outfit i had bought with some clean underclothing and socks and shoes. I slipped quietly back through the room and into the bathroom to dress, brush my teeth and pull my hair up. I put my clothes in the hamper that I had begged Dominic to put in there out of convinience and then slipped back into our room to grab my phone and air pods. I left him a note saying I went for my early morning jog and I would be at the training grounds before him. I slipped out of our bedroom only to see Amelia standing there smiling while holding two cups of coffee for us. I smiled at her and just tilted my head towards the stairs. Although Dom had said the mock battles would be against Xander, himself, Amelia or me most of the battles ended up being against Amelia and myself. I had a feeling he was trying to test our dexterity and how we would do in situations where we werent able to take breaks in fighting, like a rouge attack. Amelia and I effortlessly won each match, none of them lasting more then five minuets. I could see the amusement in Dominics eyes and the pride in Kyles. "Ugh I am really starting to regret eating so much this morning." I said holding my side. Amelia, Kyle and Elstan stopped beside me shaking their heads. "I told you being such a pig would bite you in the ass one day." Elstan said crossing his arms. I felt ashamed. I really hadn't eaten that much this morning. Three pancakes, a few grapes and some orange juice were nothing compared to what everyone else had ate this morning. Elstan had insisted I was gaining weight and had me on a diet because he couldn't stand having a fat girlfriend or future mate. Most mornings I was allowed a handful of cereal or a pancake or a handful of grapes and that was it. I had only eaten so much today because my period had me thinking and feeling like I was starving. After I was fully fed Dominic and I headed back to our room to shower and change. Well it was mostly me who wanted to change after this mornings training. I had seen Dominic watching me on several occassions and couldn't help but wondering what he had been thinking. Of course I didn't want to discuss that in front of Amelia and Kyle, even though both were pretty use to me talking about my sex life and what not I didn't want to embarass my mate. Once in the safety of our room I turned to look at him and folded my arms across my chest. "Alright spill it." I said. He looked startled. "Spill what?" I looked him up and down. The days flew by and saturday was here before we knew it. Tonight Dominic was going to announce to the entire pack about what was going on in Deepridge pack and formally introduce Amelia, Kyle and myself to the pack and explain we would be coming pack members officially come the next full moon since that ws just practice and I would be officially become his Luna at that time as well. Morning training was going very smoothly and we had agreed starting next week we would start the mixed training schedule and I spent time both observing the men and women to asses weaknesses and strengths just as Dominic did and planning how to go about morning trainings with mine and Xanders group. Pretty much every morninng after training I was naked in bed and under Dominic until he pulled me on top of him. He was still in complete control though. The day after our little introduction into the pack Amelia and I set to work researching everything that could possibly give a boost to a werewolfs power. Most of it was just speculation and stuff that sounded more like fanfiction written by humans. Some of it made me laugh and some of it made me want to bang my head against a wall. There wasn't anything written by wolves to help us so we had no choice. A week before the full moon I had a full list of possible things that could of worked. I had convinved Dominic to take me to a couple new age stores to buy a few herbs but i didnt buy a whole lot of each herb from each store so that it didn't look suspicious. After the fifth store and a lot of grumbling from Dominic we finally headed home. He had not gone into any of the shops with me so he didn't exactly know what I had bought. Unfortunately there had never been anything that supposedly makes us stronger, only what would supposedly kill us. "How do you know what it is?"

Days went by with no success. Amelia and Kyle ended up making a second supply run for us while I started to think of what combinations we hadn't tried yet. My head was seriously hurting but we were determined to figure this out. Amelia suggested getting stuff from the fanfictions we had read about what could make us stronger and I finally gave up and agreed. There had only been two things mentioned and neither made sense to me bu it was worth a shot at this point. Our days had been a cycle of training in the mornings, taking a shower after training then going straigh to the little lab Dominic had set up for us in the basement of the pack house. It was well ventilated but it was also slightly dark so the fresh and dried out herbs wouldn't go bad as quickly. Even with the air conditioner cranked up tough the room still grew hot but thankfully not humid.
