chapter six

    By the time we made it to the mall it was close to lunch time, despite stopping and getting better coffee like Dominic had promised I was starting to feel hungry. I didn't voice it though because I was pretty sure I was the only one who was. Dominic still lead us to the food court as if he knew I was hungry. Amelia and I smiled as we found seats and Dominic and Xander went and got food for everyone. I looked around impressed by the sheer size of the food court. The mall closest to Deepridge wasn't even this big.

    "They have so many options here. I am def bringing Kyle here next time we come because I know that man wo uld be impressed by just the food court alone." Amelia said with a giggle.

    "The way to that mans heart always was food." I say jokingly while watching Dominic and Xander stand in line at a cheesesteak place.  I couldn't remember the last time I had one. It wasn't until they were ordering their food that I noticed the girl taking their orders was a werewolf as well. I looked around again and started to notice there were actually a lot of wolves here.

    "Without a doubt." Amelia finally said after a moment of silence. 

    "Amelia have you noticed there are a lot of wolves here." She looked around confused at first but then looked at me and smiled.

    "I mean it makes sense this mall is inbetween like three or four different packs including Palecrest. Our mall was pretty busy with wolves from two different packs on the weekends if you remember correctly so calm down girl." I relaxed. She was right the town we were in was between four different packs corners so it would be only natural that there were a lot of wolves here. There were a lot of humans too but the food court seemed to have more wolves then humans at the moment.  

    "You're right sorry. It's just a new area and you know that I was trained to always be on edge and be on guard." Amelia nodded. 

    "I know girl but you gotta stop that." I nodded.

    "You're right. Dominic is here I know he wouldn't let anything happen to me." I looked back at my mate who was now walking back with Xander both carrying two trays heavily packed with food. I know I had joked with Amelia about the way to Kyles heart was food but it was also pretty much every wolfs since we all loved to eat. I laughed a little though as he sat the trays down.

    "Alright for my lovely girl here I got a large cheesesteak no mushrooms with provolone and oninons with a large thing of bacon cheesefries and a coke." I was impressed.

    "How did you  know thats what I like?" He shrugged.

    "I remember before when we were kids you hated mushrooms, I am assuming that didn't change." I laughed and shook my head.

    "No but I am surprised you knew how I like my cheesesteak." He looked at me confused.

    "I kinda guessed to be honest based off of what I could remember. Anyway for my lovelies bestie I got the same thing but with mushrooms." Amelia smiled.

    "Man all those years playing house and you actually remember how we like our food I am impressed." I giggled as Xander looked at his best friend confused.

    "We never played house and here I thought we were best friends." He said acting offended. I tried so hard not to laugh at that. Dominic rolled his eyes.

    "Listen we were too busy playing soilders and what not to play house. We played the fun things. I was forced to play house with them there was a difference." Xander nodded.

    "True I guess we played the games that happen outside of the house huh?" Amelia chuckled at that and I shook my head. The boys sat down and we all quickly ate our food. After we were all full Dominic and Xander took our trays then came back and sat with us. 

    "Alright Ladies whats the game plan?"

    "Boscovs for general clothing, spencers for some of their funnier shirts because why not and I guess Macys for some clothing too." I said after thnking for a moment.

    "Dont forget victoria secret girl you barely have any panties or bras." I faced palm that wasn't exactly a place I wanted to take Dominic. I glared at Amelia who just grinned at me.

    "I vote we start there." Dominic said winking at me. I groaned.

    "Fine." We got up from our seats and Dominic wrapped an arm around me.

    "What can you blame me for wanting my mate to have something fun to wear to bed with me?" I rolled my eyes at him.

    "You just want me in lacey undies dont you?" He winked at me again.

    "You make that sound like a bad thing." He said leading us down the one hall. "Shouldn't you be happy that I wanna see you in some very lacy and revealing things?" 

    "They're not always practical you know." I said pinching his side a little. He laughed.

    "Well you can get some practical and some not so practical, sound good?" I shook my head.

     "I'm not gonna win this argument am I?" He shook his head.

     "Nope." I rolled my eyes. 

     "Oh come on Kay you used to love going to Victoria seceret." Amelia said as we rounded a corner and the store sign came into view.

    "Yes but that was before this one came into the picture." I said playfully shoving Dominic. He chuckled.

    "Oh so now you don't want to wear sexy stuff for me?" I smiled.

    "I didn't say that but who knows maybe I am ready to switch to granny panties and bras." Amelia started laughing.

    "Yeah ok I don't buy that for a single minuet." I laughed as we headed into the store. A girl from behind the counter looked up and sauntered over to us.

    "Hi can I help you find someth.....Dominic what are you doing here?" She said eyeing my mate then me and Amelia.

    "Hi Hester. Not that it's any of your business but I am here with my mate." She looked disheartened.

    "Mate? I thought you and I were a thing." He sighed.

    "Hester we dated for a month and I broke it off months ago. We are not a thing and haven't been a thing for a while." 

    "I know we broke up but I was still hoping you would change your mind. You didn't get my texts about me wanting to work things out?" 

    "I did but I ignored them for a reason. Now as I said I am here with my mate who needs clothes so I suggest you saunter back to the other side of that counter and send your coworker over for assistance." The woman eyed me up again.

    "I don't understand what is so special about her." He groaned and I could sense his frustration with this woman.

    "Again she is my mate. Look I am in a good mood right now so I am only going to repeat myself this once. Go back to the counter and send your coworker over to help I do not want you anywhere near my mate." She pouted and started to cry but walked away and another girl came over.

     "Hi sorry about Hester is there anything I can assist you with? My name is Brittany." 

    "Hello Brittany my girlfriend here needs some new underclothing she can get as much as she wants and whatever she wants I want her to get some sexy things and she wants some practical things. Help her out please while my friend and I give the girls some privacy. Of course her best friend is allowed to get something if she wants it to." The young girl smiled at Dominic.

     "I am more then happy to help." Dominic dug out his wallet and handed me a credit card.

     "Here you go babe get what ever you want ok. Xander and I are going to go look at some other stuff. Have Amelia call me when you two are checking out and I will come get you girls ok?" Amelia took his card as I stood there dumb founded. I had never had someone tell me I could get whatever I wanted.

    "Ok. Dont go too far." I said giving him a kiss. He smiled at me.

    "Don't worry this is a safe place ok." I nodded and watched my mate leave the store. Amelia and Brittany dragged me to the racks to start looking for under clothing. I hated this part of shopping to be honest but I wasn't going to object. It felt nice to just be loved by someone who just wanted me to be myself though and trusted me enough to shop on my own.
