Chapter 21- Myra

We had been walking for about fifteen minutes when we saw houses begin to appear between the trees. Raver ducked slightly, slowing his carefully calculated steps to reduce the amount of noise he made, the rest of us following suit.

First I heard the sound of rough voices shouting orders back and forth before a flash of steel armour passed near the alley we were standing in, running past as the darkness cloaked us from the busy street.

I sucked in a breath as my name rang through the crowd, followed by Raver, Hunter, and Remmi as the guards alerted the crowd of our disappearance. That there were wanted criminals on the loose.

As bad as the situation was I couldn't help the adrenaline that rushed through me at the thought of having to outrun all these guards to escape. I smiled as I motioned to the other alley next to ours, it was much darker, and fewer people stood near it.

We sprinted over, walking until we came to a dead-end where a wall towered over us.

"Help me up," I said to
