SERENA’S POV

The path to Ridgewood was long and unforgiving, winding through jagged cliffs and dense forests where the sun rarely broke through the canopy. Every step away from Black Ash felt like stepping into the unknown, and though Kael walked ahead with a warrior’s stride, his hand never left mine. His warmth anchored me, reminding me I wasn’t alone.

The whispers had followed me since the library, faint as a breath against my ear. Unbind me. They rose and fell with the rhythm of my heartbeat, a constant reminder that Freya’s presence lingered close.

Kael’s wolf sensed it too. His shoulders were taut, his eyes constantly scanning the shadows, as if expecting her to step out of the trees at any moment.

  • THE ALPHA FIERCE LUNA   CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR

SERENA’S POV The scroll lay still now, but I could still feel its warmth clinging to my skin, as though some invisible thread had stitched itself between me and the witch’s name. Freya. Even thinking it made my chest tighten. Not pain, not yet, but a subtle pull, like the faint tug of a current beneath still water. Kael’s grip on my hand tightened, anchoring me. “Do you feel anything?” His voice was low, dangerous. I nodded, unable to mask the truth. “It’s like… she’s tugging at me. Not feeding, not yet, but pulling. As if I don’t belong fully here anymore.” His eyes darkened, storm clouds gathering in amber fire. “You do belong here. With me. With this pack. She won’t take you.” I wanted to believe him. I wanted his words to be enough to silence the eerie whisper that had coiled around my mind since the vision. Unbind me. I drew a shaky breath. “Kael, if she’s pulling on me like this, it means she’s not whole. She’s still trapped somehow.” He frowned, his thumb brushing ove

  • THE ALPHA FIERCE LUNA   CHAPTER FIFTY-THREE

SERENA’S POV The morning sun spilled through the curtains, painting streaks of gold across the stone walls, yet the warmth could not chase away the chill that lingered in my bones. I jolted awake, my heart racing like a wild animal trapped in my chest. Fragments of last night's vision clawed at me like restless shadows, refusing to let me shake off the feeling of unease. I lay there, frozen, as the images replayed in my mind like a macabre dance. The witch’s laugh, shrill and echoing, the sight of a blood moon, and her whisper promising, “Your blood will unbind me.” I pressed my hand against my chest as if to silence the echo. Kael’s arm was draped over me, heavy with warmth, his steady breathing proof that the world was still safe for now. But as my eyes traced his sleeping face, I knew safety was an illusion. He stirred, as if my unease had tugged him from sleep. His amber eyes opened slowly, locking onto me. “You dreamt of her again,” he said, voice gravelly with sleep yet edge

  • THE ALPHA FIERCE LUNA   CHAPTER FIFTY-TWO

KAEL’SPOV I watched Serena as she slept, her hair spilling across the pillow like a river of night. Her breathing was steady, calm, as though the confessions of last night had lightened a burden she carried alone for too long. But not for me. Every word still burned in my chest—the fact that she had seen Lucious, spoken with him, and trusted him enough to keep his secret when she should have told me. I clenched my fists against the sheets, my wolf snarling at the memory. The thought of another man’s scent on her, alive or a ghost from the past, was enough to make my blood boil. And yet… she was mine. She had chosen me, trusted me enough to tell me the truth finally. That was what mattered. I forced myself to breathe, leaning forward to brush a strand of hair from her face. You’ll never carry this weight alone again, I swore silently. When dawn broke, I left her resting and walked through the pack grounds. The air was thick, heavier than usual. Wolves moved about their morn

  • THE ALPHA FIERCE LUNA   CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE

SERENA’S POV The pull of the full moon was unbearable. Every inch of my skin burned, my wolf clawing inside me, desperate and wild. The air itself seemed thick with hunger, my body trembling under the weight of heat I couldn’t control. And there was only one person who could stop it. Kael. I found him in our chamber, pacing like a caged predator, his shirt discarded, his golden eyes already glowing. The moment our eyes met, the bond between us snapped taut, like fire catching dry wood. “Serena…” His voice was guttural, torn between restraint and desire. “You’re burning.” I couldn’t answer. My body moved before thought, pressing myself against him, burying my face in the heat of his neck, inhaling his scent like oxygen. A broken sound escaped my lips. “Please, Kael. I need you.” He gripped my hips, claws threatening to pierce through his control. “I should be furious with you,” he growled into my ear, his breath hot against my skin. “You’ve been hiding things from me. Keeping s

  • THE ALPHA FIERCE LUNA   CHAPTER FIFTY

SERENA’S POV The Black Ash Pack was busier than before. Laughter echoed across the village square as families hung lanterns shaped like crescent moons from wooden beams. Children dashed about with ribbons trailing from their hands, their tiny wolves howling in delight. Merchants from within the pack and beyond had set up stalls lined with spices, fabrics, and freshly baked bread that filled the air with mouthwatering warmth. The Full Moon Festival was more than a tradition, it was a reminder of who we were, a celebration of bonds and resilience. This year, it carried a heavier weight. After war and loss, after fire and blood, we needed this. We needed joy. I moved through the market with Alina by my side. For the first time in months, there was no hostility between us. She carried baskets of herbs from the healer’s stand, while I greeted pack members who bowed respectfully. Everywhere I turned, voices rose with pride, calling me Luna. And yet… even as I smiled, even as I held the
