Luca

I watched her lick the coffee she removed from my lips and she looked at me like she wasn’t fucking playing with my mind.

I had given her space for weeks and not because I wanted to. I wasn’t bloody sure I could handle being close to her without losing control. Every damn second, I fought the urge to touch her..to claim her. And now, with one little touch and stare, she was tearing down all the walls I built.

“Uh, you know what..I need to go check on… nonexistent things,” Alaric announced as he stood up and dragged Tina with him. That asshole. He left us alone on purpose.

“How have you been since you moved out?” Lana asked.

I ignored her question. “What was it about the Crystal? I told you I have work.” If something was haunting her, I needed to know. I couldn’t let anything happen to her.

“I lied.” She said it bluntly and then turned to play with her food using the fork.

I let out a hard exhale. “If you lied, then I have no reason to sit here with you.” I stood and wal

Lana When I opened my eyes, the bed beside me was empty. Luca was gone. I sat up slowly and my body felt weak and sore. I looked over to the window and the sky was dark. “How long did I sleep?” I muttered as I pressed a hand to my pounding head. I looked at my ruined clothes that lay on the floor. There was no way I could wear that and sneak back to my room. I pulled my knees up to my chest, hugging them tightly, trying not to remember how he felt inside me and how his lips made me feel. Now I was thinking about him… My thighs still trembled with the memory of his length filling me. I closed my eyes, hoping to forget all we did and then I saw her again. The woman with my face. I watched her golden hair move as she turned to me. I’d been seeing her more often, and not just in dreams anymore. She was always moving her lips, always speaking, but I never heard her voice. I wanted answers about her, the crystal, and about Luca… I needed to know if staying with him really was t

Lana His lips swallowed mine and I Barely had time to breathe. I gasped when he set me on the table, still kissing me before I pulled away from him. “You have no idea,” I whispered as my lips brushed his ear. “what I’ve thought about when I’m alone.” A dangerous sound rumbled in his chest as he tore the strap of my dress, letting my breasts spring free and his mouth was on me instantly. His warm tongue teased my skin and his teeth dragged across my hard nipples. “Luca…” I moaned when he pulled away as his hands moved lower and removed my panties in one swift move. His lips came back to mine and our tongues tangled, slow and so deep. It was like he wanted every part of me. “I’ve always wanted to taste you like this,” I confessed breathlessly between our kiss. He pressed me against his body and my legs wrapped around his waist as I felt his hardness beneath his trousers. His eyes burned into mine. “Lana Vale,” he said darkly as his fingers slid between my thighs and circled m

Lana “Do I?” I whispered as he buried his face against my shoulder and I felt his heat. The brush of his lips on my skin sent a shiver racing down my body, and my teeth sank into my lip to stop the sound that wanted to escape. “Mhm… you really do smell good, Lana.” He said in a tone he never used a lot. He made me feel like I was some forbidden fruit he couldn’t resist. A shaky breath escaped me. This wasn’t supposed to happen. I had come here to sort things out and to talk, but with him, it always turned into something else. Something I couldn’t pull myself out of. It was impossible to hate him when he touched me like this, when being near him tore away every common sense I had. And now… he was about to mark me. His teeth on my skin should terrify me, but instead, I wanted it. Maybe I was insane but I liked the idea of being his, of belonging to him. His lips trailed over my neck in slow, deliberate kisses and he didn’t have to do much to make me soak myself. He pulled bac

Lana Weeks had passed by and they were strangely calm. No witches whispering in my head, no edgewolves trying to kill me….Just… silence. But this peace only left room for Tina to get on my nerves. She seemed determined to make me feel miserable. “Good morning, failed bride,” Alaric greeted as I pushed eggs around my plate. His tone was too cheerful for my mood. “I hope you slept good, Alaric.” My tone was as fake as the sweetness in his tone. He poured himself a cup of coffee and raised his brows. “You don’t seem like your best self,” he said before casually sipping. “That is odd. Considering nothing has tried to kill you these past few weeks.” He wasn’t wrong. I should have been happier but something seemed off. Luca was avoiding me and keeping his distance in a way that made it hurt and it was most likely my fault. Arya saved me from answering as she walked in and snatched food off my plate. “Isn’t it obvious? She and Luca have been avoiding each other since Agnes died.”

Lana “Lana, you can’t step outside until he comes back,” Arya said firmly as she blocked my view like a guard. I kept pacing around the room, and I felt restless. Every sound I heard from outside only bothered me. I heard shouts and that wind from moments ago…. It wasn’t normal. What scared me most wasn’t the storm but it was Luca. I didn’t know why the thought of him out there made me feel terrified. Where the hell had this concern come from? Concern shouldn’t live in me for someone like him. “You don’t feel cold anymore, do you?” Arya added and her voice was insanely calm. “That can only mean one thing…the witch is gone. So stop panicking.” I opened my mouth, then shut it again. She was right. I mean Luca is a werewolf. He has his pack and Tina who looks not just beautiful but strong. Honestly, they would have made the perfect pair so why did I have to get chosen to be Luca’s mate? I stopped walking around and sat on the bed. Arya’s sharp eyes tracked me like she could read
