KATHERINE'S POV

As I sat on the long table with my eyes darting around, I needed no one to tell me what it was that the daughter of a bitch was trying to do. It was all visible and quite clear but it wasn't really my business so I didn't really give a damn to it or what happened.

I was pissed off already and needed no one to add to it.

"Hello! If you don't mind, can you please pass me the bottle of water standing pretty in front of you?" I asked the person who was seated just by my side but in a loud and firm voice that was loud enough for anyone to hear me.

Unknown to me, I had pulled undue attention to myself due to that. They all fixed their gaze on me like I was some criminal who was awaiting judgement from them. I stared back with a note of confusion plastered heavily against my face.

"Sorryyyy, but have I said anything Wrong?" I found myself asking in the same Voice I spoke a few seconds earlier. Now, there just was no way I was going to hide how upset I was.

Jordan's point of view I stood still, my hand tightening around Katherine's. I was waiting and watching as well. Just one person daring enough to oppose our union was all I needed. He would give thanks for the rest of his life when I'm done with him, if he were alive by then. There was silence. Thick, deafening silence. No one was willing to speak. Did they know what I planned on doing? Nah! There was no way that was possible. Maybe there was no opposition. Anyway, they should count themselves lucky for not standing up. “Priest, since there is no opposition from anyone, you may go on with the rites.” I was grinning from ear to ear as I spoke. “I'm against this union.” A voice rang from behind us, sending ripples down my spine. I was shocked to the marrow and couldn't believe my ears. I turned my head and was shocked to the marrow. “You?” I whispered, my blood boiling in anger. The opposition walked through the li

Katherine's Point of View. Happiness.. It trickled through me without reins. I stood behind the curtain blinds, peering into the open. The palace was busy with people going and coming. Preparation was in full gear, and none had time for anything else. It was finally the day—the day I'd be married to Jordan. The feeling was euphoric and gave me goosebumps. I will no longer be referred to as a low cast. I would be called the wife of Alpha Jordan, and not only that, I would be the Luna of that great pack. I could barely contain my excitement. Time was ticking slowly, and it irked me. “Are you sure it's going to go well?” I turned away from the window and stood, facing the room. Where such thoughts came from, I had no idea. The sounds of feet moving through the room played on and stopped abruptly. “Hey! What are you talking about? You shouldn't have such thoughts running through your mind. Everything is going to go fi

LAURA'S POINT OF VIEW I wasn't sure if I was to be happy, sad or just feel usual. Finding someone who shared the same resentment as myself wasn't something I had thought possible. Sadness still clouded me but I still feel much better than the prevent nothing. Leo wasn't bad as well. Against my wish, I found myself enjoying every bit of him. Speaking of it left me uncomfortable so I'd better not. The way he claimed me as his own left me gasping for breath. It's been hours since then and it's been minutes since we spoke by the window. “You should freshen up already. I'll have the bath made ready for you.” His eyes were fierce as he spoke and there seemed not to be an iota of emotion in him. He was dead gorgeous though, or perhaps, it was the look he had on, that made him appear cool. I couldn't tell, and I wasn't interested as well. “I'll appreciate that. Th

KATHERINE'S POINT OF VIEW “Jordan!” I stood by the doorway, my hands clasped together. He raised his head from his desk and turned towards me, his lips pursed together. I glared at him for a few seconds, my eyes flickering incessantly, before I eventually spoke up. “You didn't eat anything. Are you upset with me?” His silence and the look on his face further reinforced my thoughts. I was emotional, and it took a whole lot to keep myself composed. He rose to his feet and walked up to me, wrapping his hand around my waist. “Of course not. Why would I be upset with you? You've done nothing wrong, and even if you do, I can't possibly be upset with my own baby.” His voice was soft and melted my heart. I blushed, fiddling with my hands. “Why then did you refuse to eat the food I made for you? I made it with so much love, only for it to be abandoned by you.” “Come on! I wasn't upset with you, and I certainly didn't mean to do tha

LAURA'S POINT OF VIEW I was flabbergasted and it seemed like I was in a trance. I stared at the strange man, or I should just call him by his name - Leo.His mate? Was he joking? The hard look told me otherwise. He meant every word of his but then, I couldn't agree to be his mate. It wasn't possible..Mate to a rogue? Thinking of it alone gave me chills. “I'm sorry Leo, I cannot agree to be your mate..” I slammed the words at him, summoning the last straw of courage in me.He scoffed, a loud laugh ringing from his lips. “You must be kidding me, right? Wait, I never told you, you had a choice right?”He paused, paced around for a few eexond and returned to me. “No, I'm going to give you an option. You may leave if you want to, but remember, whatever happens to you, happens to you.”Cold chills ran down my spine. I could think of a thousand things that could happen to me lf I leave the pack. I remembered the way his men almost too

KATHERINE'S POINT OF VIEW My face brightened at the priest's words about being filled with joy. Jordan felt the same way as well. We were finally going to be together without anyone interrupting. The mere thought of it gave me goosebumps. “Thanks so much, high priest. We would begin the preparation at once,” Jordan said as we both rose to our feet and ushered him out of the house. He paused abruptly and turned toward me. “As the soon-to-be Luna of the pack, you have a whole lot to do. Something terrible would befall the Alpha, and only you can save him from it.” I was dumbstruck. My brows creased as I narrowed my eyes on him. “Something bad? What exactly is going to happen, dear priest?” I could barely keep calm as I spoke, and the same applied to Jordan. He took a deep breath but uttered no words. “I have no idea.” The high priest shook his head vehemently. “The moon goddess didn't give me the details. What I heard is exa
