"Omega, get into that kitchen and fix breakfast for the Alpha and his family."

The shrewd head of servant shouts at me bringing me out of my self musings. I bow my head promptly and quickly head to the kitchen in my wet, soggy clothes. I sleep in the corridors by the way, I'm not allowed a bed, sometimes I think they are going too far in this Omega thing. I'm quick as I work, it helps to stay quiet and unnoticed unless I want to be bullied by other servants. It still baffles me how quick they were to turn full cruelty on me, and I was always nice to them unlike my older siblings who had been nothing but cruel to them well they do say its only the strongest that is respected and feared in this world.

"Well, well, well. If it Isn't the Alpha's Omega bitch"

crooned a very annoying voice from the doorway. My body tenses while I'm still working. Its Clarissa, one of the servants who just happens to be a big full time bitch. She has had it in for me ever since the day I was brought in here. Her constant ribbing and ridicules have become an every day routine to me, one that I don't enjoy at all. Of course I try not to let it show that she gets on my nerves but I don't know how long I can take this.

"Good morning, Clarissa. I hope you slept well?"

I say to her with a smile that I'm really not feeling. She glares at me as she comes closer, I try not to be scared but I am. She has gotten even more confident ever since she started having sex with my brother. She knows that I know about it but she also knows that there is nothing I can do about it either. She has the right curves and looks to attract any man, with her wavy auburn hair and green eyes, and I am sure my brother didn't stand a chance at her charms.

"You have no right speaking to me or even looking at me in the eye. You may have been the Alpha's daughter but now you are nothing but a weak Omega"

she whispers viciously in my ears then she straightens up.

"The Alpha and his family await their breakfast."

She curls her plump lips at me and scoffs as she sways out of the kitchen, maybe to look for another person to have fun with. I'm about to burst into tears, my hands are trembling. I calm myself down. "Its okay Avery, don't let her get to you. Its too early"

I quickly load the breakfast onto a huge trolley, my stomach grumbles loudly as I do so, I'm tempted to have a bite but I'm not permitted to eat until everyone in the house has eaten---my father's orders. But I don't blame him, after all its my fault for being an Omega.

As I push the trolley into the huge dining room decorated beautifully, I can hear laughter, I smile wistfully as I remember how I used to be part of that fun. I lower my head as I wheel in the trolley, as an Omega, I'm not supposed to keep my head up in the presence of high elites or anyone higher than me. Of course no one behaves like they know me, they just carry on talking as if I don't exist. I want to hurry out of here before I'm subjected to any form of humiliation from my siblings. As soon as I'm done I bow very low and turn to leave, the next thing I know a leg comes in my path and I trip falling face down onto the tiled floors hitting my head in the process, I cry out in pain but it seems as if my cry is music to their ears as they all burst out in laughter. I painfully pick myself up and start leaving.

"All of you should prepare because tomorrow you find your mates,...even she"

"Hopefully she finds someone who can put up with her trashy stuff" my sister smirks

"Only someone as useless as she is will do so" my brother snorts.

My father only booms out laughter.

My Mother's words stops me in my tracks, yes now I remember. Its the day I've been hoping for a long time. Tomorrow is the mate choosing ceremony where everyone, be it Alpha or Omega comes with the hopes of finding their fated mate. My heart beats in excitement. I hope I find my mate tomorrow and I know he is going to love me and cherish me because we are meant to be for each other. Suddenly I don't feel hungry anymore as I rush out of the dinning room. I can't wait for tomorrow, I finally get to see my mate, chosen for me by the goddess. I suddenly have my strength back as I run out of the dinning room, delirious with excitement and anticipation for what tomorrow has in store for me.

**************************

Today is the day, I'm finally going to meet my mate. I glance around the field nervously, everyone of mating age is here. Though no one has approached me and I haven't sensed anything but I'm still searching, I know I will find him.

"Hey look, the useless Omega wants to find a mate"

"I hope she doesn't find him."

"Nah, I hope she finds someone as useless as her."

"Oh I just hope the moon goddess does not curse me with someone like her"

"Yeah, me too"

These conversations were going on right in front of me but I pretended not to hear them, as long as I don't acknowledge them, they will get tired. I nervously pull on my dress, it was a blue dress that reached above my knees. This was the only good dress I had left. Oh where is he. Suddenly, my heart beats frantically, I can smell his scent like rain and flowers. Where is he? I spin rapidly in search of him. Then I see him, our eyes match together and I grin in delight.

"Mate!" I whisper.

AVERY'S P.O.VDamien noticed the way I was staring at a distance and looked in that direction."He was the one who found you, he led us here, to you""I see, let's go" what else could I say, we were mates, he could find me easily with the mate bond, nothing new there. He placed his hand around my back and led me, I walked with a straight face trying to avoid looking at Lucien but once we had reached a very close distance from him, I made the mistake of glancing at him, our eyes met, I gasped a little and shifted my eyes immediately to the front, I didn't want to look into his eyes. I kept muttering a prayer in my head, "don't call me, don't call me, don't call me"."Avery" he called, I cursed in my mind, I was trying to avoid you but you just had to call me. My prayers don't ever get answered do they? Without turning, I answered."What"Silence for a while, just when I was getting impatient, Damien nudged me close then let go, I glanced up at him. He wasn't staring at me but at Lucien

AVERY'S P.O.VI hate him, I hate him so much, so much I want to do more than small his annoying face. Maybe I should have punched him but then my hand won't be able to withstand the pain that would come after contact with his bones and I'm also sure he wouldn't feel anything, which was why I was now fuming in anger as I headed towards the forest, it's more peaceful in there. I was already Halfway into the forest when I realized that I might not be able to leave here when night comes because of the barrier, I still remembered the last time him and I were stuck there. My face immediately felt hot as I remembered the events that occurred most especially us kissing."No! Don't think about that. You hate him" I chided myself, balling my fists with a fierce expression as I turned round and made my way out and headed instead for another destination that looked similar to the forest but was different in that it had no barriers. After walking for a few minutes, I finally saw a suitable place t

  • THE ALPHA'S CRYSTAL MATE   CHAPTER FIFTY TWO

THIRD PERSON P.O.VLucien stood as the feeling of emptiness washed over him as if the life in him was snapped off. His eyes stared listlessly as he understood what his wolf just did. His wolf had locked him out, by doing this, he was basically shutting him out of his life and denying him the power to shift. He guessed he deserved that as he was no less than a monster. Avery saying she hated him with so much venom in her voice and eyes was already too much for the both of them to bear. She had basically just rejected him even though the words were not specifically said but that was already akin to it. And all of it were his own fault. Was it jealousy? Was he being petty? Was he still angry over seeing her and Damien in the woods earlier? Even he had no idea. All she had wanted was to contribute to growth of the pack by putting her own ideas. And he had rejected her help by insulting and degrading he even when he knew that she didn't deserve it. Without a care, he stripped off his cloth

THIRD PERSON P.O.VAvery blinked in confusion as she stared up at Lucien. She shook her head, her white stands shook with the action."What are you talking about?""I'm talking about your actions of joining us in the pack meeting room and making an input on something so sensitive that is way beyond your scope of expertise.""Lucien, I was only trying to help and fulfill my role as the Luna, I don't see anything wrong with that""Well I do" he breathed out harshly, his chest going up and down in waves. "I don't know what your plan is but stay away from sensitive matters and stick to only what I tell you to do" headed to leave."I'm sorry but you can't tell me that"He turned back with a frown"What""Yeah, you accepted me as your mate not as a doll. You can't expect me to sit down and watch as things roll over me""Well that's what I expect you to do" he roared. She gasped and stared at him in the eyes as she came closer with her finger pointing at him."You, are you hearing yourself,

THIRD PERSON P.OVLucien stood still in shock not having an idea what happened, he felt like he had been scolded and that was something that had never happened...okay it did happen but only when his parents were alive not anymore. Who would be brave and stupid enough to scold him, the alpha."Should I go speak to her?" he muttered as he moved towards the door.'No stupid, stay here before you make it worse.' His wolf chided.**********************************Avery stirred on the bed, the morning sunlight shone on her face making her frown and eventually open her eyes. She yawned and stretched as she stood up while rubbing her eyes."Yesterday was hectic" she muttered as she trodded to the bathroom, her mind was still on the events that had happened. From learning to train, Damien helping her, Lucien suddenly arriving and making her faint then the little confrontation she had with Lucien which if she had to admit felt relieving and a little scary. She should go apologize, he was the a

THIRD PERSON P.O.V"Thank you"He stopped as a tiny voice said to him, curious, he turned to see her staring at him with half open tired eyes. His throat suddenly felt tight so he just grunted and left the room. As soon as he left, Avery quickly went back to sleep again as her body was still exhausted from earlier. Damien who had been pacing a few feet away from the room immediately raised his head upon hearing his brother come out."How is she? Is she okay""Yes, she just needs some rest",He told him as he eyed him, his eyes narrowed in thought as he walked away from him, heading back to his office."Thank you..." Damien called, "...for listening""I had no choice", was the answer Lucien gave before leaving.************Meanwhile, a certain young lady was driving out of the pack with a sour expression on her face."So no one even came to wish me goodbye? Not even him? Just because of her." Jessica seethed as she drove out of the pack in a rush, her hands clutched the steering wheel
