CHAPTER 9: NO ONE WOULD DARE TO INVADE US

I didn't know how long I dozed off but I found myself curled up in my bed sheets, I recalled the earlier events and I gush in embarrassment. The thought of him carrying me in his arms made me smile unconsciously, as I scold myself for not waking up to inhale his spicy sent.

I rolled up the upteenth time now in bed as sleep eluded me. I really wished for the morning not to come because I don't how I'm going to face him. He really look like a greek god, I couldn't see his expression when we were intense earlier then.

I scolded myself for not taking all this into consideration because I was lost in his embrace. I sighed heavily, I couldn't really pinpoint why I thought of him like this. Immediately, I remembered when I first saw him. I can't deny the fact that I was awestrucken.

I really wished I could sleep right now because I wasn't in control of myself anymore, I was going haywire.

I grunted as sleep refused to come, I rolled back and forth. My whole muscles was sored up from the earlier events. I recalled when Elios came to call me interrupting my intense moment with wife.... Or rather saving me from doing something I had hate myself for.

After reaching the part of the forest on which the explosion had occurred I could feel dark intense energy within the perimeters, I inspected the whole region with my supernatural eyes but could see nothing but I could feel they're around probably somewhere.

"Keep searching the woods for any clues."

I ordered my men once again, as they advanced deeper into the forest. Now I was left alone with Elios behind, I tried dismissing him also but I knew it will useless.

They're all came back not long after with gloomy face, I guess they found nothing.

"My Lord, it seems like an earthquake occurred maybe not what we thought happened."

Elios said behind him after seeing the men coming back with no clues whatsoever.

I frowned creasing my forehead....

"No one would dare to invade us."

He quickly added.

I smirked...

Of course no one would try to invade my clan, they had probably been burning off in hell right now. He was merciless.

His thoughts switched to his brothers but he couldn't caught a whiff of their scent I here, only something dark and it seems to blend well with nature. Or maybe they sent their men here but for what reason precisely.

Did his brothers now practiced black magics to defeat him but he quickly dismissed the thoughts off his mind, they wouldn't try to. Because it was banned centuries ago.

Then his thoughts occurred swiftly, Harvey.

Did they probably did this to distract him?

It then occurred to him foolishly that he left his clan unguarded because he rushed down to check out the events but he left his other half unguarded. He knew his guards was probably like ants waiting to be crushed in his brothers eyes.

"We head back to the clan now!"

He said to the men firmly who quickly assembled at his voice.

He checked in on her but there was no one in her room. Alarmed, he rushed to the garden and there he found her. She was probably waiting for him, as he remembered his words to her earlier then, "I'll be back Mate".

Relieved, he scoop her into his arms and headed in thd direction to her room. He laid her gently on the bed and covered her up in her sheets. He maid to advance forward when he decided to listen to his restless mind, he took his gaze towards her facing her directly. She was really beautiful and the thought of her being his Mate made him really glad and for the first time he thanked the Moon Goddess, Selene for giving him such a wonderful Mate.

But some part of him insist that he doesn't deserve her, he might do to her what she will hate him for forever. He kept his fears at the deepest part of his mind, he was loosing his sanity and composure since she came into his life. He couldn't really help but began to slowly fall helplessly for her.

He can't fight and still deny his own feelings after all.
