Before I knew what was happening I had been placed in a carriage, heading back home. I remember the words he said. “DON’T EVER COME HERE AGAIN. I DON’T WISH TO SEE YOUR FACE AGAIN” His whisper was loud and clear.

I was only staring into space. Kauis could walk? Why did he lie? Why did he pretend? Why is in he in a wheelchair? All sorts of questions flew in. But, is that the time for that?

I should be thankful! Thankful I wasn't beheaded. I just found out a dangerous secret and I was left alone?

I slightly opened the mini door on the carriage, the journey was slow and the night has begin to get dark. My eye were fixed on the stars. “Humph!” I breathed out and just as i was about closing it back, an arrow from a far distance was shot, piercing into the window. And I, staring at it at the verge of my nose.

What--

Another came in but this time, it hit the guards carrying the carriage, and the carriage collapsed. My heart sank. What—what just happened?

Where is the arrow coming from? Those questions were said to air.

Before I knew it, the guards were all down. W-what? All shot.

KING KAIUS

My royal robe fitted me like no one else, I had called for a meeting earlier. I sat down on my wheelchair and stared at myself in the mirror.

“That little thing…she almost ruined my mood. Not today. Not on the night of Raine's anniversary,” I reminded myself with a faint smile.

Then I could hear footsteps, that's Rafeallo. His scent his far away but I could sense urgency in his steps.

He finally walked in. “A problem, your majesty.” he stated. I titled my head to look at him.

He's worried.

“What problem?” I asked, driving my wheelchair to the entrance.

“The Luna! I think she ran away,” He wailed.

“And why are you stressed over that? Not like she's important, is she?” I said, Rafeallo tagged along.

“She is! If we don't find her now, Your majesty, the council of elders will be on your neck and blame you for it. That's going to be a lot on your neck. We need to find her,” Rafaello rambled on while I rolled my eyes.

“I sent her away. I don't need a Luna,” I finally said after getting out of my room.

Rafaello almost pop out his eyes, “W-what? You-you did what? Your majesty, with due respect but what you did is wrong!!” He screamed but a glare from me shot him up.

“Do you want me to replace you? Because I think you're becoming ungrateful,” I snapped at him. Harsh.

He bow, “I’m sorry, I went overboard. I was just worried for you,” He whispered

“You don't have to. You don't owe me a sympathy neither do I for anyone. I'm the King-”

I haven't ended my words when I felt a sharp pain. One from Magnus. I-know this feeling. REY. She's attacking.

I changed into Magnus immediately and vanished into thin air.

——

ADELAIDE

I was pulled out of the carriage, my heart beating louder than the royal drum. What-did I do? I could barely see the face of their leader but he held an aura- dangerous to distinguish.

“W-what do you want from me?” I summoned the courage to ask. A laughter from their leader was all I heard.

“You are the Luna, aren't you?” The person asked. Coming a bit closer to me.

“Didn't they tell you the history?? What happened to the last Luna? Or should I call you dumb?” He asked, walking around me.

I can't lie, I'm good as dead. Isn't this the witch pack that has been attacking the pack? I-

“You are going to die as well, pretty….” I heard him suck his teeth then he pulled out his bow and arch the arrow.

Is this how you're going to end it, Adelaide? Is this—-?

Before I knew what was going on, I felt a body wrapped around me and the arrow pierced into the person’s body instead.

Slowly, I looked up. I blinked twice to be sure I wasn't daydreaming.

Kaius. It's Alpha Kauis. I could see his face, fear and worry written on his face.

He pulled back, took out the arrow with his barehand and not a single drop of blood came out.

He faced the attackers, “YOU ASKED FOR DEATH THE MINUTE YOU TOUCHED MY LUNA,” In a twinkle of an eye, he clapped his hands and all of the attackers were shot by an invisible arrow.

I was too weak—weak and exhausted. I gave up and passed out, I thought I was falling to the ground but I felt someone's arm wrapped around me.

I could see his grey eyes before blanking out. Kaius.

  • THE ALPHA’S LUNA : The once rejected.   A NIGHT WITH KAIUS

Chapter 17A Night with the Alpha Adelaide's POV I woke up in the middle of the night and noticed that Kaius was still sleeping. He was sleeping at the edge of the bed, using the whole blanket to himself. I heaved and sat up, looking at his face. The moon light reflected on his face, and then I saw him smile in his sleep. “Are you dreaming?! Is it about me?” I whispered, leaning closer to his ear. But, he stirred and then continued sleeping.I stood up and saw that the candle light was still on, I walked over to it and blew it out. Suddenly, I started feeling chills in my arms. I looked over to where Kaius was sleeping and saw that he was sleeping soundly. “It’s cold…” I whispered into the dark. The words came out on a shaky breath, barely louder than the wind coming through the windows. Then, I saw Kaius stir in his sleep again. I could tell he was awake now, but maybe he wanted to still be on the bed. I remembered how everything happened and how I ended up in his room. Wa

Even though I had shunned her from making negative comments about my Luna, I still felt the pain in her eyes as she looked hopeless. When I stepped in to defend her, I saw the way her eyes lit up and the way she gazed at me like her prince in shining armor. Athena and Eleanor still stood, looking at Adelaide as though to devour her. What are they plotting?! Do you want to kill me?!” She asked, standing to her feet. Eleanor looked at her, dead in the eyes. “You are supposed to be the Luna, not her!” She spat.“What if we become her allies and work together?!” Athena said, infuriating her the more.“How dare you suggest such a thing?! We can't be allies with someone as filthy as her!!” Eleanor yelled, her eyes almost red from shouting. Athena shifted uncomfortably on her chair. “What should we do now?! She has stolen everything from me.” Eleanor drew closer, a smirk spreading across her face. “Let us spread rumors about her, then the pack will reject her and you'll become the Luna.”“Isn't that too risky?!” Athena as
