CHAPTER 3

The guard that had brought me in asked me to stand behind the door, not until I was permitted to enter the inner room.

I was bound in chains, making me look more degraded. I didn't have a glimpse of what was going on in the inner room, I was not ready for it either.

Was he finally going to let me go? Or is he going to kill me? Would the alpha have mercy on me because of what we shared last night? A lot of questions flooded my mind but I couldn't find an answer to it.

I was lost in my thoughts, and I barely noticed when the door was slammed open by a guard, he yanked my chains forcefully making me fall harder on the bare floor, and then I reluctantly stood to my feet.

He must have called my name several times but I was lost in my thoughts.

"The alpha wants you now," The guard said his eyes blazing with anger, looking at me with disgust on his face.

I stepped towards the door, but the guard abruptly slammed the door in my face before I could reach it.

I felt a bit disoriented by his behavior, it wasn't unusual to me. All the slaves around me were treated like animals.

I reached for the door and managed to grab the handle with my bound hands. I was trying to shove the door open but my hands were useless, it took a lot of perspiration before I could finally open the door. I nearly pulled the door off the hinges as I opened it.

Bracing myself, I walked into the room.

I raised my eyebrows in surprise as I looked around the room was built like a courtroom with so many wooden benches that stood to my left, a big wooden table between them.

The benches were empty so I guessed the meeting was a closed one. There was another set of wooden benches that stood to my right on which several men sat looking at me with with disgust on their faces.

My eyes instantly caught the sight of a man in the center of the room who turned out to be the alpha with two men sitting right beside him, I immediately recognized one to be his alpha, but the second man was unrecognizable to me.

And to his left sat a beautiful and elegant woman, she had piercing green eyes, long blonde hair, a round face shape, and fair skin. Her beauty was radiating.

I felt a bit jealous as I guessed she was the mate of the alpha, her hands were crossed on her chest and her back was relaxed.

Then suddenly a guard grabbed me by my chains, yanking me forcefully which made me fall flat on the floor, but I immediately knelt before the table of the alpha, my head bowed low.

"Who is she?"I heard someone ask from the men sitting on the benches.

"She's a slave, captured on the last fight we had with the mafia". The alpha replied, his voice deep and grave.

I could feel the elder stood up from his chair and walked towards me, he circled me for a few seconds and sniffed once before turning to the alpha.

"Your sex slave?" He asked the alpha with questions in his eyes "I could smell your scent all over her" he continued.

I slowly raised my head to look at the alpha who was looking at the elder with disinterest on his face.

"You're in no place to intrude in my personal affairs, I only brought her here to show you all the new prey we caught".The alpha replied an irritated snarl played on his lips.

"Intrude in your personal affairs? this involved our pack and the people!!. The elder answered his voice cracking.

"We have a lot at hand than talking about how many women I chose to sleep with!!. The alpha replied, his voice rising.

"Stop disgracing our pack Alpha".The elder yelled, the alpha opened his mouth to say something but he was cut short.

"Alpha Caleb another one??"The woman beside him spoke up," Can I know what I have done wrong to deserve this from you!!".She yelled at the alpha and continued. "Can I know why you chose to do this to me!".

She was trying to hold back her tears.

I looked at the alpha, whose face showed he wasn't comfortable about where the direction of the conversation was going.

I inhaled a deep breath to steady my nerves.

The woman stood up from her chair."I can't be doing this with you Caleb, sleeping with other women in my presence is disrespectful to me and the pack!!, I must put the end to this!"She yelled, her voice threatening, she walked out of the alpha as her heels echoed the large room with every step she took.

I felt the heat begin to pool within my core, How these people stood by my side sent a shiver down my spine, but no!! They all are monsters!
