I carried her through the house without saying another word, she had stopped fighting me not because she had accepted what was happening but because she was in shock.
I could feel the tension running through her small body, every muscle rigid against mine. Her breathing was uneven, and her fingers were curled tightly against my jacket.
I knew I had frightened her but I also knew there was no way around it.
She needed to understand that this was no longer a simple human pregnancy, the child she carried belonged to my bloodline, my heir and whether Erran understood it yet or not, her life had changed the moment that child was conceived.
I carried her directly upstairs.
The hallway was quiet, the only sounds coming from my footsteps against the polished marble floor and her uneven breathing.
I pushed open the door to the room I had prepared for her, It was one of the largest guest suites in the house, I wanted her to be comfortable and have access to whatever she needed and enough space too.
Sunlight poured through the enormous floor to ceiling windows, illuminating the room with a warm glow. Everything was decorated in black and white, black furniture, white walls, soft gray accents, and a massive bed positioned in the center of the room.
I walked toward the bed and carefully lowered her onto the mattress.
She immediately pulled herself toward the headboard and I stepped back my hands up,
“I am not going to hurt you Erran." i said looking around, "This is your room.”
She didn't respond, here eyes were still fixed on me, she looked terrified and I understood why.
From her perspective, she had gone from preparing for her wedding to being thrown out of her father's house, discovering she was pregnant, meeting the man who claimed to be the father of her child, and then seeing two of my wolves shift into human form, It was a lot for anyone to handle.
Even for someone who knew our world existed.
For a human who had spent her entire life believing werewolves were myths?
It was unimaginable and I hated that I had not prepared her for this.
Her lips trembled.
“I want to go home please.”
"You no longer have a home Erran, remember?" I said calmly,
"Then take me back to the hospital please, I will have the baby but please take me back."
“That's not an option, Erran.”
Her eyes immediately filled with tears.
“If you can just calm down, I will explain everything that's happening here.”
“Then explain it now!” Her voice broke “Because I'm losing my mind!”
She pushed herself farther against the headboard.
“I saw them.” Her breathing quickened “I saw them turn into men.”
She pointed toward the door “I saw the two werewolves!”
I remained silent.
“And what did you say to them?” She stared at me desperately “Why did they call you Alpha?”
I walked toward her and she flinched.
I stopped then sat on the edge of the bed, leaving enough space between us to keep from making her more uncomfortable.
“I will explain everything in due time, I promise you that”
She shook her head.
“No I need to know now what are you Max Black.”
“Erran.” I lowered my voice. “You need to understand one thing first.”
Her eyes met mine.
“You are safe here.”
She stared at me as though she didn't believe me.
“The people you saw outside are here to protect you.”
"protect me from what?" she countered
I paused, "I am an extremely successful man and I have made a lot of enemies in my line of work." Her brow furrowed.
I watched her carefully.
“I have enemies from everywhere, powerful ones. Some of them would gladly hurt you to get to me.”
Her hand instinctively moved toward her stomach and that reaction told me everything. She was already thinking about the baby.
“You will be required to stay here and you are not allowed to go anywhere unless I say so and you have security with you.”
Her eyes widened.
“That’s not negotiable.”
“Are you” She swallowed “Are you a werewolf?”
That was all she managed to say, I looked at her for several seconds. There was no reason to lie anymore.
“Yes.”
Her eyes widened.
“I am a werewolf.” I paused “And I am their Alpha.”
She stared at me and I could practically see her trying to fit those words into the world she knew.
“But that baby you are carrying” My gaze dropped briefly to her stomach “is my heir.”
Her breathing became shallow.
“He is extremely important to my pack.”
“You keep saying he.” She whispered “You don't even know if it's a boy.”
“I know.” I said smiling and she looked even more confused.
“How?”
“Because I can sense him.”
Her expression changed.
“I don't understand.”
“I know.” I leaned back slightly “And that's why I'm telling you that nothing can happen to that child.”
Her eyes filled with tears again.
“You're talking about my baby like it's some possession.”
My jaw tightened.
“He isn't a possession.”
“Then why can't I leave?”
“Because you're carrying the future Alpha of my pack and no matter where you go even if I decided to let you go, my pack will haunt you down, that baby is connected to my whole pack, he is the future alpha and everyone in my pack can sense him.”
Her head shook violently “No.”
She pushed herself off the bed. “I don't want this.”
I stood immediately.
“Erran”
“I don't want to be here, I don't want to know about werewolves being real, I just want to go home, please!”
She looked up at me, tears streaming down her cheeks.
“Please, Max. I don't know you, I don't know your people, I don't know what is happening to me.” Her voice broke “I just want to go home.”
For the first time, something inside my chest tightened and I understood that look.
She wasn't being difficult, she was terrified.
“I’m sorry but this is how it has to be, I have to go but a nurse will be up shortly to check and see if everything is okay.” with that I walked out of the room, she needed some time to process all this.

Erran. Max helped me out of the car and had me settled in my wheelchair as I looked around in total awe. The house was insanely huge and beautiful, floor to ceiling glass windows, marble steps, flickering lanterns embedded into the walls. I had only seen places like this on TV celebrity documentaries and royal tours. It looked like the kind of place a prince lived or a god."This is your home?" I asked out loud"Yes and it will be your home too from now on." "Who are you?" "I am Max Black and that's all you need to know, you will be safe here and have access to whatever you need, your only job is to make sure that child you are carrying is safe." I was about to start wheeling my wheelchair when something moved in my peripheral vision fast but it spooked me and I turned my head slowly, it looked like a dog, but when I looked clearer, my whole body froze. Two huge wolves were racing across the yard, large, sleek, and silent. One grey with piercing silver eyes and the other was pu
Erran"That's no choice really, I should have a choice in this, it's my body too and my baby and I don't even know if I am keeping it." I said, trying to hold back the tears, everything was moving way too fast one moment I was getting ready to marry the love of my life the next I was being thrown out and now I was pregnant and someone I had just made was already threatening me. "My sister is the reason I am in this situation in the first place, she did this to me, I didn't want this, I don't want any of this, I have never even had sex before, this is all crazy." I continued in tears." How sure are you that I am even going to keep the baby, it's still early I could make another choice that won't have me marrying a strange man I just met. ""I am sorry, but you can't do that Erran. This is my only chance of becoming a father, giving my family an heir. "he said it like I was supposed to care about him. "That's not really any of my business, in fact I should be suing for violation, this
Erran. I stood there, in the middle of the driveway, as the world around me spun and twisted. My heart was too heavy, my skin felt foreign, everything I had believed in, my love, my body, my safety was all gone and I still could not understand why. My family had just thrown me out, the only people I had known my whole life, the people who were supposed to protect me. I looked back at the house I had grew up in one last time before I picked up my bag and started walking. I had no money and no idea where I was going, but I needed get out of there, so I started walking aimlessly. I didn't even have a phone, Brian had thrown my phone across the room and broken it. I just walked and walked, tears flowing freely down my cheeks. Everything I had known had all been taken away from me in an instant. I had no idea how long I had walked, until I realized I was on a highway. Cars zoomed past, honking angrily, but I couldn’t hear them clearly. My mind was a looping reel of betrayal: Tim’s fa
ErranWe were all playing card games in my father's living room when Brian stormed in furious, “You are pregnant?” Brian’s voice cut across the room cutting through the music my heart stopped as I turned to see him, his arm outstretched, holding something in his hand. “What?” I asked confused looking around the room confused and back at his face, he was furious. He threw the pregnancy stick he was holding at me. The small plastic stick hit my shoulder and bounced to the floor as I over bent to pick it up with with trembling fingers, it it had the two lines, it was positive. “No,” I whispered, already shaking my head. “No, that’s not mine Brian.” I said confidently. “Oh, save it!” Brian yelled, his eyes had turned red. “You cheated on me! You are standing here, carrying someone else’s child, while planning our wedding? What kind of twisted game are you playing, Erran?”The room suddenly went silent, everyone's eyes on me, it all still felt like some kind of joke, it had to be. “
