Amelia's p.o.v

After the beautiful kiss we shared, Ian pulled back from nowhere and went back to eat like nothing had happened between us.

I felt bad and my heart couldn't stop beating rapidly, sadly I chose to do the same.

We ate in silence until we were both done, he later thanked me and excused himself, giving me enough time to clean the plates.

Once I was done, I went back to my bedroom to take a bath.

The only thought that came to mind was, was he upset with me by chance? If not then why was he acting a bit cold after the kiss?

"He did say thank you." Aurora pointed out softly.

"I heard." I answered then stepped out of the shower.

"He needs time." She said as I ignored her and moved to the door grabbing a dry towel that was hung there.

I understood what she meant, but that didn't stop the fear I had in my heart.

If he was to turn back to the Ian I first met, my life would go back to becoming hell.
