A couple of hours into the day, Ryan was getting his check-up from a nurse. The whole event could not just give him a little breathing time. Ava had hit him in a manner that he least expected her to. “When will I be free to leave this place?" He asked the female nurse attending to him. With a smile, she replied, "When you are ready, sir.” Ryan felt he was ready to take on his daily routine again. They say a man whose house is on fire has no time to go after rats. That was his condition at the moment. There was no need for him to let himself remain on the hospital bed, waiting to be properly healed before facing the challenges ahead of him. He could imagine the disappointment his father was probably feeling over the matter. The man had his reasons to be mad at him. Ryan failed handle the situation well. Or maybe Ava was just too much for him to handle. “I think I'm ready right now," he said. “I have a whole lot on my table to do at the moment. I should be out there already."
