Abigail’s POV

Forbidden Shivers

I didn’t know that in my lifetime I would be stuck with such a person. Who the hell does he think he is? The arrogance dripping from his every move makes me want to scream. And yes, I admitted it—I made use of vibrators, because I don’t want to have anything to do with men.

Not like what my mom did, selling herself short for affection, for validation. I don’t think it’s problematic to protect myself, to avoid diseases or heartbreak.

I think this is the best way. But then again, sometimes it feels like a sickness, me always hiding it, always sneaking around, afraid of what people will say if they find out.

But the shock that pierced through me tonight was unbearable. I was surprised when I saw it in his hand. That could only mean one thing—he had been going through my things while I was in the bathroom. He had touched the most private part of my world.

Rage and panic rose in me at once as I quickly tried to dig it out from him, snatching and desperate to take it back. But then he tilted his head, his smirk widening, and he said with that low, teasing voice that cuts through my skin, “This is your little secret, stepsister. It seems like you’re not even innocent.”

His words stabbed like needles. My body trembled, not just with anger but with humiliation. “Give it back to me!” I snapped, my eyes stinging.

But he only laughed. A dark, amused laugh that made my chest tighten in fury. “So you’re using intro toys for virgins?” His voice was mocking, dragging the word "virgin" like it was dirt beneath his shoe. “Really? No one’s ever taken you on a date, huh, stepsis? Even after you went to university for your bachelor’s degree and you’re doing your master’s… you’re still untouched, still a virgin?”

My whole face burned. Embarrassment flooded through me, making me want to shrink into the bed. I was so shy, so mortified; my words came out shaky but sharp. “Give it back! And don’t you ever call me that again!”

But then, instead of stopping, he leaned closer. His eyes glittered with a dangerous mischief as he whispered into my ear; his breath was hot against my skin. My body stiffened as his hand lowered, and then I felt it, the vibrator sliding down my body toward my thighs.

He turned it on. The hum of it sent shivers rushing through me, lightning bolts of sensation shooting straight up my spine, the moment he placed it steadily on top of my clit.

My lips parted in a helpless gasp as I clenched my eyes shut. The heat, the vibration, the forbidden closeness—it was too much. My breathing hitched and was uneven immediately; my body betrayed me again!

“Your mom wants us to get along,” he whispered, the vibration teasing me mercilessly. “Why don’t we play with this?”

I wanted to scream at him and push him away, but the sensation was driving me insane. My knees trembled, my heart pounded violently in my chest, and I opened my legs wider for him. I knew I shouldn’t show weakness. If I showed I was fragile, he would use it against me forever.

So I made a choice. I gathered every bit of courage inside me, forcing my fear into defiance.

“You can’t scare me with that, stepbrother,” I hissed, my voice shaky but determined. “I’m calling off your bluff.”

Before my mind could stop me, I guided his hand down, pressing the vibrator against my clit. My eyes slammed shut, my lips parting as that sweet, forbidden feeling surged through me, sending shockwaves all over my body.

When I opened my eyes, his were wide in disbelief. He just stared at me in shock, frozen, as if he couldn’t believe what I had just done.

“Is this what you want, stepbrother?” I whispered, breathless, trembling. “Then I’m giving it back to you.”

The silence stretched out between us. His eyes darkened, flickering with something I couldn’t name.

Then, in one swift move, he immediately pulled his hand back, ripping the vibrator away from me as if it burned. He stood abruptly; he was breathing heavily, but his eyes were still fixed on my parted legs and wet yellow panties.

But before I could even sit up, before I could say anything, he was already on me again.

His weight pressed into the bed as he leaned over, his face inches from mine. My breath hitched, and my heart was pounding so loudly I thought he could hear it. His lips hovered dangerously close to mine, and for a moment I thought—no, I knew it, he was about to kiss me!

But instead, he placed his palm gently but firmly over my eyes, forcing them shut. His lips brushed against my ear, and his voice came out low, warning, almost a growl.

“Do you know what you just did?” he whispered, every word sharp, dangerous. “Do not test me. Do not do that again. Because the next time you try something like this, I will put that toy somewhere else… and I will make you scream.”

His words sank into me like fire. My breath came in shallow gasps, my chest rising and falling rapidly as heat and fear warred inside me.

“Stepsister,” he added, his voice chilling, “behave.”

And then, just like that, he pulled away.

I gasped for air the moment his weight left me, clutching at the sheets as if they were the only thing keeping me grounded. He stood tall now; his face was unreadable, though his jaw was tight and his fists were clenched.

Without another word, he turned and left the room. The sound of the door clicking shut echoed louder than thunder in my ears.

The silence that followed was unbearable. I immediately replayed the moment in my head, the way he had pressed that vibrator against me, the way it sent shock after shock all over my body. Shame and heat washed over me at once.

“Alex Delmundo!” I whispered under my breath, my voice trembling. “You are horrible.”

I grabbed my duvet with trembling hands and pulled it over my face, hiding from the world, hiding from myself. My heart wouldn’t calm down, thundering as if I had just run a marathon.

“Stop it, Abigail,” I told myself harshly. “You cannot be fantasizing about your stepbrother right now. Not like what your friend did. You’re not going to end up like her.”

My mind betrayed me, flashing back to Clarissa—how she had fallen for her step-cousin, how everyone judged her, and how her story turned into a scandal. No, that couldn’t be me. That must not be me.

But the heat pooling in my stomach told me otherwise.

“No,” I whispered, shaking my head under the covers. “That’s not possible.”

Still, my hand Slowly trembling, it reached for the vibrator lying abandoned on the bed. My fingers curled around it.

Of course it has to do its job for the night—why not? He had already turned me on.
