ELIOT'S POV

But that was it.

The exact energy I needed to keep myself in check. And it calmed me a bit. Enough to seat quietly at my desk, letting the anger brew and burn inside of me. The time passing slowly.

All plans to dive into the work stacked up on my desk was long forgotten at this point. To think I had hurried back to this same office to do just that. “Comical!” I scoffed, my eyes taking in the rising darkness in the office as I checked the time.

6:45pm.

The day was over. The staff retiring home but I remained seated. Haven spent the entire day just like that, with my laptop in front of my face. The picture not been the only thing on display, there was also a page. A social media page that I could vow to you right now, that it was the most stupid thing to have ever crossed my path. But yet, here I was.

Even after avoiding it all week, here I was.

SERENA’S POVWhy ever did I think that this night will end well, hm?Why?I mean, the signs were there. All over the place if you think logically!“You let him drive you back into my house? That’s what you’re doing now?!” This! This statement of his, it was the perfect example! The very bomb to announce that all the peace and relaxation that came with Axel’s ride was all over. Absolutely over the moment I stepped into the house! But still, I managed to delude myself. Thinking I could walk past all of that, ignore it and just head up to my bedroom in one piece! “God, was I mistaken! Stupid even!” I gushed, flinging my purse to the bed as I abandoned the door at once.My heels digging into the soft bed rug as I paced around the place. Hair all free and flying with my every move. “How can I be such a fool? Of course I wasn’t going to have a goodnight! Not after everything. What was I thinking? To just waltz past him after his stunt at the restroom?”After he tried to- how dare he try to

Eliot's POV"You go out one night and next thing you kiss her?? Have you forgotten everything? The divorce? Me?! Our baby, Eli?!"“Excuse me?”“You are not excused!” she blasted, breathing heavy as her voice echoed everywhere. “You- yo- how could you? This is humiliating! For me and your child. Look how they're all watching!"Shuffles filled the air at her comment. The staffs hurrying to hide themselves in a corner, while she stood glaring like she owned the place. Leaving me somewhat confused, cause last I checked she was here on a contract basis. An agreement, of which she seemed to have forgotten so easily otherwise what would possess her into making this display right now? Right here, directly in my face, in front of the staffs! What does she think she is? Who the hell does she ‘think’ she is?Looking at her right now, you would think she was my wife. Whereas my wife just stormed up the stairs right after slapping me!"Eli,” she called, gentle this time. Holding unto my arm. “Eli b

  • THE GLASS WIFE; the storm he built himself    CHAPTER 56

ELIOT'S POVGoing after that blue eyed creature and into the female restroom was nothing short of what I expected. Her shimmering red dress at the sink getting cleaned up, drying off with a hand dryer or something. I even made sure to confirm no one else was around the area before letting her gradually sense me.All of that. All of that preparation but still, nothing. Absolutely nothing prepared me for the surge of desire that hit me the moment I stood, locked in that restroom with her.Just watching her from behind. The way she stood tall and perfect. That red fabric clinging unto her for dear life, revealing things it had no business revealing! And worse, bringing to my memory, my mind, and damned thoughts…pictures. Series upon series of pictures, images even! Videos that could only be found in that folder back in my laptop. Those merciless reveal of fair creamy skin, softness in every glance.... it killed me just remembering them all. While watching her. But it was also my breaking

SERENA’S POV“There. That’s better,” I mumbled, staring at the now wet spot on the upper front of my dress. And by that, I meant the bust area. My boobs part to be exact. “Ugh, kinda looks weird now. One side darker than the other. I can’t even find a hair dryer or something. How can a female restroom of this standard not have a hair dryer? So what, I will be stuck with one wet boob and one dry boob?”Ugh, great.Just great. Good job Serena, go stain yourself some more.I just sighed, abandoning the disposable hand towels and heading for the toilet stalls on my right. “Better take a pee since I’m already here,”And thank God I did. Cause the quantity of urine that left me? You could’ve sworn I had drowned a tank of water or something. “Must be those drinks,” I mumbled, amazed as cleaned myself up. “I really shouldn’t have anymore, no matter what Axel says. No more drinks!”It was even a wonder I wasn’t drunk or feeling tipsy yet. Although he did say most of the drinks weren’t really st
