CHAPTER 88

"What?! We can't activate level one unless we are pulling out!" Derrick whisper-screamed.

"But what if he really found out about Liam?"

"It is impossible." Derrick insisted.

"Then why are we being taken to the desert?" Rolph asked.

But Derrick had no answer to that.

Whatever the reason was, it wouldn't be good but they did cover all tracks when killing Liam. There was simply no way Jan would have traced it back to them. And if he did, then Rolph would be right. Derrick didn't want Rolph to be right. If he was, the consequences of killing Liam were too great for Jan to carry, talk more of them. What would Jan do to them? How can they get out of the situation?

Derrick brought out his small phone and started clicking away because once they entered the desert zone, they would be cut off from the outside world.

"What are you doing?" Rolph asked

"Placing level one on standby."

Rolph could only nod. He
