ES03 and '01 were the ones sent to meet up with Rolph after he made contact with them while on the train. They were supposed to meet him at the train station but had to set out to meet him two towns away after he told them he was being followed and a trap was already set for him at the Houston terminal.

 After leaving Houston, they tried their best to leave no trace of their movements but lost Rolph's phone signals when they got to spring valley. So now they had to go online and track him using his tracker. By the time they got to Jersey, they discovered that they were already made, not by one assassin but by multiple assassins. These people were hoping they would lead them to Rolph.
