I want them back

Hunter’s POV

"Calm down, or you’ll end up in the fucking dungeon again, Hunter!" Jalen shouted at me. Jalen, my loyal Beta and oldest friend, was always trying to keep me from losing control.

"I want them back," I said, punching the wall. "Nolan will pay for taking her away from me."

The team will be here soon. A knock on the door. Come in! I shouted

The warrior walked inside. "Alpha, we lost track of them after the rain. Emily was not at the meeting point, so we split up and tried every direction," he reported.

I screamed. Jalen gestured for the warrior to leave.

"Jalen, get a team and have them search far and beyond until you find them. I want my son back," I ordered.

Jalen looked at me. "Your son? Not Emily?"

I hesitated, fists clenching as the question stabbed at me. Of course, I wanted Emily back. But my son, my son was innocent in all of this, my blood, my heir. He needed me to protect him, no matter what. Emily was strong, I told myself. She'd find a way to survive. Still, a part of me ached to go after her too, to fix everything I’d broken. "She won’t let her son leave without coming herself, right?" I said, trying to mask my confusion with certainty.

"Hunter, focus on the pack, or you’ll lose them again. Get another human and go back to normal. Okay, I have things to take care of. I will check with you later," Jalen said.

I sat back and closed my eyes. Why did I let her go? I chose the pack, but she never understood. I miss her. Now I’m back to this life. Maybe she was right. Where will we go? Rogue?

Isabella walked inside. I tried so hard to like her, really tried, but everything inside me rejected her. Fuck.

"I’m busy. What do you need?" I asked.

"I was going to get you a human so we could have a baby…" she said, pouting.

"Okay, go choose one, and we will talk about it," I replied. I had a human, I thought, and I lost her. Should’ve been more loving. I do love her. So beautiful.

Hunter?

"What?" I asked, annoyed.

Do you want me to be in the room? She asked sweetly

"No, I want you to be in bed with us," I told her. She smiled. Good, get the fuck out, I thought.

After she left, I went to the bedroom and dropped onto the bed, thinking of Emily and my son.

Domus’s POV

Get me Isabella, where is she? I haven’t seen her in a couple of days.

"Sir, she’s gone. I thought you had sent her back…," the subordinate replied.

I took the coffee cup and threw it at the wall. "Fucking bitch, she betrayed me. Find her and bring her back. I will teach her a lesson. Send a team, let me know what is happening in the pack," I ordered.

The last pack. I will rule it; it is mine to rule and do whatever I want.

Two days later, after tense searches and uneasy silences…

Come in I shouted

The subordinate entered. "Sir, bad news," he said nervously. "Isabella has declared herself the luna of the last pack, and Hunter is back in power. Emily, Hunter's human lover, escaped with one of the guards and took Hunter's son with her. They left together, running away from the pack after the upheaval. Right now, their whereabouts are unknown, and the alliance between the guard and Emily seems real—they risked everything to get Hunter's child to safety."

"Okay," I said, getting up. "That is good news. Let’s find her and his son, kill the guard. Bring them to me."

"We don’t know where they went…" he admitted.

"Then fucking find them," I said, opening the map. "Go five days in each direction, send scouts first. Any news on Savannah's whereabouts?"

"No, sir, no sign of Savannah or Salem. They are twins who disappeared together. We are working on it. It's been more than three years, and they've changed features," he reported.

"Keep looking. They can’t just disappear," I ordered. After he left, I sat down, feeling my age. I need to relax tonight. Stress will kill me.

"Lionel, come in!" I shouted to my beta. "Get me someone tonight, I need …"

"Yes, sir. Human or wolf?" Lionel asked.

"Give me both," I replied, and winked.

I stared out the window. She will be mine. Savannah is special. I want a child from her. How will I attack Hunter’s pack?

I don’t have to; he will kneel when I have his human and child. Perfect.

How dumb is he to let his human go? His child?

"I have to get more information on that," Isabella said. "He was in love with her, and the pack turned against him."

Ah, love. Like my Savannah, so beautiful. I made a mistake and touched her, and she fled. I remember her big eyes begging me to stop. I did, but she figured it out, and her brother helped her escape. I will punish him and blackmail her.

In theory, my plans are perfect, but now I have to wait.
