KAIREN

"We're their reincarnation."

Her words rang continuously in my ears. I passed out after our intense love- making session, only to wake up with a nightmare so horrific it sent my heart pounding out of my chest…

And ever since then, I haven't been able to go back to sleep again.

My eyes lowered, staring at my unsuspecting mate, cuddled up next to me. Her body rose and fell to the rhythm of her breathing.

A chill breeze came in through the window, causing her to curl more into herself, lean

MERILYN"I can't believe the King actually let her go like that." Lyn said, digging her teeth into the apple in her hand."Hiding her without any evidence would be a huge problem." Kitara added, leaning back against the chair, with her head in my lap and her legs on Heira's."But we all know she did it. It's so obvious. Alina probably knew some mysterious secret of hers. That has to be why she killed her." Lyn whispered, her hand moving animatedly as she pushed the apple back to her lips and took a huge bite."The good news is she's gone now and no one will be in any more trouble." I said, staring at Heira. She smiled thankfully and played with the leaf in her hands. When Kairen made the announcement earlier during breakfast, everyone was surprised. No one expected Lorelei to leave so easily. But she did and I was extremely grateful to the moon goddess for that."Hopefully, she'll never come back." Lyn reached for another fruit."That's impossible. She'll be back in a couple of weeks

Her body rose and fell to the rhythm of her breathing.A chill breeze came in through the window, causing her to curl more into herself, leaning towards me.My hand reached for the hem of the blanket, and pulled it over her naked shoulder.I'd probably overreacted when she mentioned the reincarnation stuff. But when she told me I was the reincarnate of a man who killed his mate, especially when it was so clear I was also going down that path, my reaction wasn't that bad.In my brain, it felt like a confirmation that the exact same thing was going to happen to us. So yes, I didn't want to accept it. But Merilyn was adamant. With a sig

MERILYNI huffed with an eye roll, "This again?"His brows furrowed, "What do you mean by again?""Another person being accused of killing Queen Raskia. First it was her sister, now it's her mate." I threw my hands in the air, "King Cassian loved his wife. He would never have killed her.""You think I'm lying to you?""No, I think you're mistaken. You weren't there so how would you know?"He sighed, "This is not a rumor, Merilyn. Even if you don't believe anyone else, trust me. I'm royalty. You think I wouldn't know about the root of my lineage?"I crossed my arms, "Well, last time I asked you, you said you didn't know.""It's not something I go about declaring to the world. It's shameful and tragically stupid to admit that the King killed his own mate.”“Hell, I might be the only one who knows about this, and I still don't know the full story. The real truth is hidden way too deep.”"I can promise you, he didn't do it. If that's why you're so worried, then don't be. Cassian would nev

MERILYN"What were you both talking about?" I asked, peering up at Kairen as we walked side by side, our arms linked."Nothing important. Nothing you should be bothered with." He answered. The news of Elder Hevrick's demotion spread like wildfire. Gwen had hurried into my bedroom to tell me about it , and almost immediately, I worried that Lorelei — or her uncle — would take this lying down. What if they retaliated in the worst way possible?Kairen cupped my chin and made me face him, our footsteps slowly coming to a halt."What are you so worried about?" He asked, his other hand coming up to smooth the frown lines on my forehead."You stripped Elder Hevrick of his title — aren't you worried there'll be a rebellion from the Tyron family?"He sighed, pinching my cheek gently, "If I worried about every single subject who might rebel against me, I wouldn't be the king everyone fears.""Now leave the worrying to me. All you need to know is that Lorelei won't be a problem anymore.""How? U

  • THE LYCAN KING’S STOLEN MATE.   Chapter 124

THIRD PERSON’S POVThe moon stood high in the cloud, illuminating everything in its path. Valios moved silently down the hallway, his shadow gliding against the wall as he walked past. The door opened as he walked in, his gaze fell on the bundle cuddled up on his bed. Valios shut the door, only pulling away when he heard the soft click of the lock slide in place. He walked further into the room, undressing until he was left in his pants and a turtleneck. Valios slid into bed, next to Heira and her body instinctively turned around and curled up against him. His hand moved beneath her, cupped the back of her head and pulled her closer until she was perfectly molded against him. A soft purr filled emanated from deep within him, and Valios let out a sigh of relief. Finally, she was safe. He peered down at his mate, watching the way a strand f herflickered as his breath made it dance. He breathed in her scent slowly, calming his racing heart until it fell into a more peaceful rhythm.

THIRD PERSON'S POV"Take her back to my chamber," Valios said as he delivered Heira into the hands of his guards. "Make sure she's safe at all times." He added. The guards nodded, one hand on the hilt of their sword the other dangling next to them as they waited for Heira to lead the way.Heira watched as Valios turned around and walked away, following behind Kairen as they left the courtroom. Her gaze fell as she played with her fingers."Lady Heira," One guard called her name as if bringing her back to reality, she looked at him and stared at his outstretched hand pointing in the other direction. "Please."Heira inhaled deeply, spun on her heel and walked back towards the castle, heading for Valios's chamber.Lorelei stood off in the corner, the rest of her maids standing behind her, hands held forward, head lowered. She'd played a risky game and came out with the shortest end of the stick. Not only losing her personal maiden but also her uncle, who was her strongest backbone in the

MERILYNI silently followed the men as they led me away from the airport into one of their very luxurious cars. “Please,” the man gestured, and I got in. Fear oozed from me like an open dam. My hands clutched my bag tightly, and my eyes kept darting to the man seated next to me. How on earth had

KAIREN“Wh-where are you taking me?…” She drawled as her jelly legs made their way across the pavement. She reeked of alcohol and something sweet. Her scent has grown stronger in the last couple of minutes. “Ohhh, are we going to get laid?” she giggled, limply leaning on me as I held her up. “W
