Chapter Thirty

"I am so sorry; I should never have asked." I apologized, wishing I could see his face.

"Do not apologize; it was not your fault; it happened ten years ago, so I am over it. So now, will you please accompany me?

I nodded, "Of course."

He started the car, and a few minutes later he stopped at a gigantic White House.

"This way," he said when we got out of the car.

He led me in front of the house and pressed the doorbell with his left hand because he was carrying the first aid kit with the right one.

A teenage girl opened the door and hugged him.

"Good afternoon, Uncle Richy," she shouted.

"Alina, How are you?"

"I am fine. We hardly see you these days," she said, then pouted.

"Sorry, I am a little busy; this is Dr. Alice." He introduced me to her.

"Good afternoon, Dr. Alice," she said.

"Just Alice is fine. How are you, Alina?" I asked.

"I am fine," she said, then moved from the door.
