They bowed for me, then continued to cook. I beckoned Maria, then headed to the corridor.

She followed me immediately, nervously, and bowed to me again.

"What color does the pack wear to funerals? I asked her.

"No, you may go. She ran off immediately, and I headed back to my room.

I grabbed a black modest dress, put it on, put my head into an updo after my failed attempt to do other styles, then gently rubbed a tiny bit of color corrector and concealer on my dark circles, then rubbed a bit of powder to cover it up.
