Chapter 20: To provoke a beast

ATLAS' POV

I sit at my desk, fuming with anger as I watch Nyx chatting away with Savio. I know I should be working, but my mind is consumed with the image of her laughing and smiling with him. The very thought of it makes my blood boil.

As I'm lost in my thoughts, my rage intensifies when I see Nyx whispering something into Savio's ear. That's the last straw. I need her here with me. Now.

Without a second thought, I pick up the phone and order one of my sentinels to fetch her immediately. The sentinel enters the room, his presence snapping me out of my thoughts. He's a tall man with broad shoulders, his face impassive as he stands before me.

"Yes, sir?" he asks, his voice deep and calm.

"Bring Nyx to me. Now," I say, my tone cold and commanding.

The sentinel nods and turns to leave, but before he can take a step, I stop him.

"And make sure she comes alone," I add, my eyes flashing with fury.
