CHAPTER EIGHT

CHAPTER EIGHT

Luna backed away from Alexander with her eyes still fixed on him. She had tears in her eyes, but she didn't know why. Alex squinted his eyes at her, trying to move closer to her.

"Did...you bite me?" She asked, while pressing her fingers against the red, painful spot. In response, Alex rolled his eyes and gripped her hand. "It's called a hickey, okay? You will get used to it, don't worry." With that, he released her hand and walked to the kitchen.

Luna cleaned her dry face and walked after him. She didn't understand what he meant by saying she will get used to it, but she didn't ask. She knows that she would be better off not knowing what he meant by that statement.

"Why are you here anyway...sir? I'm the maid here, I should be allowed to do my job." Luna called out, trying to meet up with his speed. Alex didn't say anything. Instead, he stopped in the kitchen and dismissed all the workers there.

They all got out, but not before throwing scornful looks at Luna. She instantly knew that her stay in the house is not going to be that easy. She hadn't even stayed up to three days, but she always had people looking at her like they wanted to get rid of her.

"Are you going to stand there or come in and make my coffee?" He asked, resting against the kitchen counter, with his hands crossed against his chest. Luna let out a small sigh and walked forward.

"Why are you here?" She asked, resting her hand on that same counter. Alex scanned her face for two seconds, before moving away, saying, "I'm here to make sure you make the coffee, without any help."

Luna squeezed her face into a frown, but she didn't say anything. Her eyes started scanning the kitchen for the ingredients. She started checking the cupboards and drawers there for the things she needed.

When she got to the highest drawer there, she stretched her hand to reach the small door, but she was way too short for that. A grunt escaped from her mouth, as she stood on her toes, trying to reach for it again.

After trying three times, she stopped, giving up on that. Alex was watching her with pleasure written all over his face. When he saw that she was about to give up on that, he decided to help.

He stopped resting on the counter and walked over to where she was standing. He stood behind her and moved closer to her, their bodies barely an inch away from each other.

Luna could feel his hard, strong chest against her head and she gulped down a little. Alex pushed his body against hers, reaching out for the drawer's door. She felt his hot body against her and her breathing instantly became shallow.

The coffee was sitting there, in the drawer. Alex grabbed it and closed the door. He gripped Luna's waist with the other and turned her around to face him. Her mouth parted at the close view of his face, but she didn't say anything.

No words could form in her head. How could they? When all she could think about, concentrate on, was how attractive the man before her was? She gulped down again and subconsciously licked her lips, making Alex burst into laughter.

"What's wrong?" Luna snapped out of her dream and stared at Alex , who was dying of laughter, with questions in her eyes. The sound of his booming laughter cursed around the room, and she soon became drawn to it again, unable to think of anything else again.

"Why did you look at me like that? You really are something, Luna." Alex said and stopped laughing to fix his eyes on her face.

Hm, Luna. She liked the sound of her name. The way it casually slipped off his lips like it was something he usually called everyday.

"Um, the coffee." She cleared her throat nervously and reached out to take it. Alex was in the mood to tease her a little, just to see how she would react to it.

So, he raised his hand - the one that was holding the coffee. "Come on, come and get it. Only if you can, I mean, it's fine if-" Alex started teasing, but Luna took the bait, dashing towards Alex to take the coffee from him.

She stood on her toes and moved closer to Alex. She started reaching out for the coffee, her chest brushing against Alex. He stopped smiling, fixing his eyes on her. They way her boobs were bouncing through the small, but top that she wore, was doing something to him; something he couldn't comprehend.

Because of the fact that Luna wanted to win Alex and get the coffee by all means, she was oblivious to the fact that he wasn't even caring about the teasing again. His mind was focused on her and her alone. The way her tongue poked out of the side of her lips out of intense concentration, was oddly attractive to him.

Oh God. What is happening to him?

"Luna." He tried stopping her, but she was way too stubborn to even listen. She kept on jumping, hitting her boobs against Alex and holding his shoulder to bring him down.

Luna's grip on his shoulder tightened and she pushed him down to get the coffee. Alex wasn't concentrating anymore, so that made him almost fall on Luna, making the coffee open instantly. The powered coffee poured on both of them because of that.

"Oh my God!" Luna shrieked, trying to get the coffee from her hair. Alex raised his head filled with coffee and stared at Luna.

"Why are you laughing?" He asked, still fuming at her. Luna pointed towards his face, trying to get the words out. "You...look so funny," she said and covered her mouth to laugh.

"It's your fault!" Alex yelled and frowned at her. Luna stopped laughing to stare at him. "What do we do now?" She asked, biting her lower lips while trying to think.

That little action made Alex stare at her red, full lips until she turned her head towards him again, to get answers. Alex dropped the container that used to have some coffee powered in it.

He moved closer to her and gripped her small wrist, dragging her out of the kitchen. "Where are we going?" Luna asked, while getting dragged by Alex. "To my bathroom, to wash all these off."

His bathroom? Luna was surprised, because according to what her brother told her, nobody had ever gotten that close to Alexander. It felt so surreal and a feeling of excitement settled in her stomach.

"You're walking so fast, i-" Luna hadn't even finished speaking, when she slipped and fell down. It wasn't serious, but Alex instantly ran to her, holding her leg to inspect it.

"How did it happen? You should learn how to walk properly!" He yelled at her, staring at her. She was scared of him. He peeled his eyes away from her and focused his attention on her legs. While he was doing that, she heard him mumble some words, but she didn't hear him.

"It isn't serious. You should be fine by tonight!" He twisted her ankle twice, before carefully placing it on the floor. She raised her hands up and he helped her up.

Luna was about to start walking, when he grabbed her waist and flung her over his shoulder like she was weightless. "What-" she started asking him, but she stopped when he continued walking like nothing happened. By the corner, Christian saw them and instantly left to do what he knew was right.
