THE MAFIA'S WEAKNESS

Luna winced when Miles massaged her swollen left leg. The hustle and bustle sound was drowned by the quietness of the secluded room he had brought her to.Miles was Luna's brother, the only family she had left."Brother I-" she winced, but he shut her up and continued rubbing her leg."I will kill that murderer. I will kill him for this!" Miles swore seriously. He pressed softly, while adding pressure at the pained region."How did you find me?" Luna changed the topic, the rage of her brother was something she had been avoiding, ever since she was a kid.Miles looked everywhere except for her after letting go of her leg. "It should be better now, you need rest."Luna sighed and leaned down on the armrest, refusing to think of what could have happened if her brother was even a second late. Of course, Jess would have handed her over to the police and that would have been the end of her. She doubted there was anything that would have been able to prove her innocence."How did you find me?

With each step, his face became clearer to Luna. She could see he had a five o'clock shadow and a tattoo that peeked through his open buttons. He was like a neat mess. His shirt was tucked halfway, his eyes were compelling and he never let it shift from her.Luna doubted if the courage she had to fix her eyes on him and patiently await his arrival was hers. It was probably the alcohol. Alexander was too intimidating to make you wanna stay in his presence. His shoes echoed as it hit the floor softly. Now that he was just a couple of feet away, Luna observed how his lips were shaped quite oddly; a prominent Cupid's bow and a deep dimple at the right corner of his lips. But it was feminine, curved naturally upward and its color could rival that of any woman out there.Luna was too caught in his facial features and how hot he was, she hadn't noticed he was now before her. Not just him, behind him were his guards with their guns stuck to their waist. Luna took a cautious step back, she rub

CHAPTER SIX "What?" Alexander asked, he was really caught off guard. This girl…he thought, and placed two fingers under his chin, his eyes fixed on her."You heard me, I'd like to be your maid. Your personal one." Luna was saying things she didn't want to say, but she was loving it. She is confident, Alexander likes that. He darkened his eyes, trying to read her expressions. She wasn't joking, he could tell."You wouldn't last a day." Alexander said, pride evident in his voice. He was sure that this little girl wouldn't last a day with him. Nobody has."It's a challenge then."She walked out of the room, satisfied with herself."Ouch.." Luna exclaimed as she rubbed her forehead where it had come in contact with a really hard surface."Holy fuck." She cursed again, now feeling the searing pinch across her forehead."Fucks aren't holy.." Without looking up, she knew a charming smile would be plastered on the speaker's face. "They're either dirty or sinful.""You shouldn't wait right at

CHAPTER EIGHT Luna backed away from Alexander with her eyes still fixed on him. She had tears in her eyes, but she didn't know why. Alex squinted his eyes at her, trying to move closer to her. "Did...you bite me?" She asked, while pressing her fingers against the red, painful spot. In response, Alex rolled his eyes and gripped her hand. "It's called a hickey, okay? You will get used to it, don't worry." With that, he released her hand and walked to the kitchen. Luna cleaned her dry face and walked after him. She didn't understand what he meant by saying she will get used to it, but she didn't ask. She knows that she would be better off not knowing what he meant by that statement. "Why are you here anyway...sir? I'm the maid here, I should be allowed to do my job." Luna called out, trying to meet up with his speed. Alex didn't say anything. Instead, he stopped in the kitchen and dismissed all the workers there. They all got out, but not before throwing scornful looks at Luna. She i

CHAPTER TEN Miles started dragging Luna, squeezing her hands as hard as he could. He was angry, really angry, but he wasn't showing it. "You're hurting me, miles." Luna whimpered under his touch, trying to free her hand from his hard grip. "Of course, I am. Are you crazy?! That's my boss, Alexander! You're crazy!" He left her wrist and started walking away from her. Luna started running after him, but he was really fast. Before getting to the room, Miles turned around and asked her not to follow him around, but she did. "I'm sorry, even though I don't know what I did wrong." She shrugged when she got inside. He turned around with a frown on his face. He seemed so angry. "You don't know what you do? Oh wow. I can see you're getting too comfortable here." Miles brushed past her, leaving her to her thoughts. Did I do anything wrong? She asked herself, staring at the door in confusion. Things are really weird around here, I hope I survive. She added, staring at her palms. Miles got
