CHAPTER SEVEN

Luna stared at Alexander, confusion written all over her face. Things were becoming real so fast and even though it is just her first day as Alex's maid, she is starting to rethink her decision.

With her chin up and her head held high, she moved away from Alexander and said, "I am worthy to be your maid and you know that!" She sounded so confident, that she doubted if she really meant that.

Alexander titled his head to a side, staring at her. He seemed surprised and impressed at the same time, but he decided to not let her know at all. He wanted her to suffer a bit.

"Oh, really? Prove it then. Make another cup of coffee in-" he glanced down at his watch and slowly raised his head. "- in five minutes!" He completed and crossed his hands around his chest.

Luna looked away from him for a second. How could she prepare a coffee in a matter of minutes, when she had never prepared it before?

An evil smirk danced on Alexander's lips, he was happy to see her that way. He cleared his throat, making Luna fix her eyes on him again.

"So, are you getting fired, or you're making the coffee...again?" He slowly asked, making sure to stretch each word, so it'd sink into Luna's head. Well, at least, that was the plan.

"I didn't make the other one!" She called out, her confidence slowly creeping back into her. She corked a brow, waiting for Alex to say something. Since she didn't make that, she was sure that he wouldn't ask her to prepare anyone.

"Well, that's even better. So, now, you get to bring a coffee that you made yourself. Come on, go on." He said, trying to hide a smile from her. "In...five...minutes." He glanced at his watch again, slowly raising his head to catch Luna frowning at him.

He gestured to her to leave immediately. Slowly, Luna turned around and started walking outside the room, mumbling some words to cuss Alexander out.

Luna hadn't even taken up to up to four steps, when Alexander stopped her in her tracks with his deep voice booming across the room. "Wait!" He yelled again, pushing his body from the wall. His straight, long legs strolled across the room, going to meet Luna, who was fidgeting at the spot.

He stood in front of Luna, straight into her glazing eyes. She was angry, he knew that, but that made him feel good about himself. He wants her to quit her job and be forced to leave his house out of frustration. That's his latest plan and he plans to achieve that.

"I have to be sure you're the one making the coffee," Alexander said, shrugging his shoulders casually. Luna squeezed her face into a frown, trying to understand what he meant.

"What do you mean? You asked me to-" Luna started, but she got interrupted by Alex. "Yes, of course. But, I have to be sure you don't get any help while doing that. I'm coming with you."

There was a few seconds of silence, before Luna snapped out of whatever trance she was in. She corked her brows, staring at him like he had gone crazy. She thought he was joking, but when he didn't say anything and he was just staring back at him, she knew that he was serious as hell.

Without saying a word, she brushed past him, walking through the hallway to dash to the kitchen. Alexander was getting on her nerves and it was making her angry.

She wanted to get back at him, even though she just started talking to him. With the way things are going, Alexander seems determined to make her stay in the house difficult, but one thing is for sure; Luna isn't going to make that possible for him. That was a promise - to herself.

Before getting to the kitchen, Luna felt someone drag her hand, making her stagger backwards. She almost fell down, but she felt Christian's hand on her back, with his face turned towards hers. His eyes were scanning her face and her face was doing the same.

Christian is so attractive, Goddamnit! Luna thought, while subconsciously licking her lips. Her lips were slightly parted, but she didn't know why.

She knew that he was attractive, but she didn't know that his features were that sharp and... beautiful. His jawline, oh. His jawline was something that made her feel butterflies in her belly.

Luna was staring so hard, but she didn't realize it until Christian started laughing. He helped her stand straight. "Why were you staring at me like that? Oh, Luna!" He said amidst his laughter. The fuming Luna hit his shoulder playfully, joining him.

"Nothing. I almost fell because of you. Why did you drag me like that?" She asked, trying to straighten her back. "You looked so angry', and I wanted to know why." He answered, casually shrugging.

"It's nothing. Let's go!" Luna suddenly gripped Christian's hand and started dragging him towards the kitchen. She hoped he would at least be able to help her with the coffee.

For the second time that day, she got stopped in her tracks by Alexander. He walked up to them, with his body going hot with anger. He grabbed Christian's collar and dragged him backwards, making him fall down.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Alexander asked and without giving Christian the chance to speak, he raised him up with his collar again and pinned him against the wall.

He raised his hand to punch Christian, but Luna stood in front of him, trying to hold his iron steel hand.

"Please don't!" She screamed at the top of her voice, staring straight into his eyes. She was silently pleading with Alex, but Christian tried making her leave, because he didn't want Alex to hurt her too. "Just, go. Leave, I'm fine!" He tried yelling at Luna, but she was adamant about it.

She stood her ground, her head held high, with her buried into Alexander's. They continued staring at each other, until Christian tried pushing Luna out of the way, telling her to leave to avoid Alexander's wrath.

A few seconds later, Alexander released his grip on Christian's collar and gripped Luna's hand instead, dragging her away from the spot. "What are you doing to her? Hurt me instead!" Christian yelled, while walking after them.

Alexander suddenly released his grip on Luna, turning towards Christian with a deadly glare. "Don't dare me, Christian. Don't!" With that, he left and walked over to Luna, grabbing her hand again.

"You're hurting me," Luna called out, while trying to free her fragile, small wrist from Alex's strong grip. A few steps away from the kitchen, Alexander turned her around and pinned her against a wall.

He stared into her eyes which probed with so much fear. She was scared of him, that was amusing to him, at least.

"What was that all about?" He asked, moving closer to her. Luna frowned at him, she didn't understand what he was driving at. "What-"

"You know what I mean! Christian, do you like him?" Alexander asked, squinting his eyes at her. She started shaking her head in disbelief. She couldn't believe that that was what everything was about?

"Is that why you almost killed him?" She asked, surprise masking the real tone of her voice. He continued staring at her, releasing his grip on her with every step he took, moving closer to her.

"Do. You. Like him?" Alexander stressed each word, closing the space between them. Luna's breathing became shallow and her stomach started quivering.

The way his huge profile covered hers was overwhelming, but she liked it. She slowly took a deep breath in, catching a whiff of Alex's scent. He smelled nice, too nice even.

His hand started moving upwards, his fingernails teasing her sensitive skin. He slightly bent his head and sniffed Luna's hair. He loved it...so much.

"I-" she started speaking, but when Alexander's hands got wrapped around her small waist, she stopped, barely feeling her legs anymore. She wasn't herself anymore, but...but why?

"I don't-" she said again, making a little more progress than the first time, but she was cut short when Alexander fully bent his head, planting a kiss on her soft neck. She shut her eyes in pleasure, biting her lips to prevent a moan from escaping her lips.

"Do you...like him?" Alexander asked, his mouth hitting against her skin. His hot breath continually brushed against her hot skin, making it hard for her to breathe properly.

She bit her lips again and opened her eyes. "Why-why do you...care?" She slowly said, stuttering the words out of her mouth. In response, Alexander kissed her neck again, but this time, he was more passionate.

The kiss was a soft one, but it soon turned into a hungry one. Luna slowly raised her hands and rested them around Alexander's neck. Their position was an intimate one, but at the same time, it wasn't intimate.

Soon, Luna started feeling a little pain down her neck. She let out an "ouch," and tried looking down. Alexander raised his head, exposing her red neck. He had sucked on a part of her neck, until it turned red.

"I don't care!" He uttered, his eyes caressing the bruised part of her neck. Luna was confused. Alexander was just sweet to her a few seconds ago, but now, he was....different.
