Chapter Twenty

LISA

When the event comes to an end we say bye to our friends and my parents.

I'm ushered into the car and my eyes burn with tears.

He's been playing me all this time, he's been lying to me and sleeping with that woman.

Lore gets in and starts to drive back home. When we get to the house, he excuses himself and goes to talk on the phone.

I stand and head to the wine board,then I take out a bottle and open it,i drink the first glass in one go and then pour myself another one.

Lore walks in and pauses when he spots me drinking on the sofa. After a few silent beats, he settles down next to me.

"Hey," she says softly and places two fingers under my chin, turning my head to him.

I look at him through blurry eyes.

"What's wrong?"

My lips tremble and I don't know what to say.

"You can tell me," he lets go of me.

I sniffle then take another sip.

"Hey, slow downh" he takes the glass from my hand then places it down.

"How about I tell you a story, a story about two girls."
