Chapter 2

C2:Mr Grip

Raine's hands flew to the thing gripping her neck only to find out it was an arm, then slowly she saw gray orbs with fiery glint in them.

“Who..are you?” the one gripping her asked, his voice edged with caution.

Raine couldn't speak, she ended up hitting him on his hand, and swung her leg Forward kicking him.

“Damn” the man cursed in pain and let go of her instantly, she cautiously put her hand in the little bag she had learned to carry at all times for emergencies.

Bringing out a lighter she blew on it and it lit up, she saw the person gripping her on the floor clutching his stomach.

Taking a closer look she saw that he was bleeding.

“Are you okay Mr Grip” she asked softly, as she leaned forward a bit still keeping her distance.

The gray eyed man glared at her but then, his face was becoming pale as more blood flowed.

Raine stared at him with a frown, “Mr Grip don't die here,what happened to you” she spoke again her voice tinged with fear as she tried to take a closer look at him.

Seeing that he was deeply wounded she sighed and brought out a pouch of medicine, bending down she carefully tore the piece around the wound.

The man groaned in pain as she applied the medicine on his wound, she took off his shirt after apologizing and wrapped the neat side on his wound.

Once she was done she dusted her hands, “I'm done, don't thank me, we have to find a way out” she said standing up.

But the man had lost consciousness, she sighed the hole wasn't too deep, it was as tall as she was.

She managed to remove the remaining grasses at the top and managed to climb out.

She turned to the figure lying in the hole and sighed it now dusk, her mother would skin her alive.

“Since it's already late I shouldn't leave you behind right?” She asked the sleeping figure.

Soon she heard heavy footsteps, a group of werewolves about ten of them surrounded her, she didn't recognize them but that wasn't a relief.

Her eyes darted around looking for an escape route as she cursed her luck in her mind.

One of the werewolves shape shifted into her father's beta, and walked to her, “youngling, did you see an injured male here?”.

She looked at him cautiously, unsure if to disclose his whereabouts, the man glared at her before sniffing.

“He should be here” he muttered and walked in her direction, Raine instinctively spread her arms wide.

“What are you doing here, this isn't a hunting ground” she spoke quickly.

The man paused and chuckled, “who are you to ask such, better worry about your weak self” the man said and shove her aside.

He looked down and saw the young man, without hesitation he jumped in and carried the man on his back and leaped out.

“Where are you taking Mr Grip to?” She asked as she stood up.

“Mr Grip?” The man asked and chuckled leaving with the male and the other werewolves.

Raine stood there as she glared at the retreating men, then she took her basket and headed home.

When she got home,she gave one of the maids the lilies and headed to her room only to be told her mother wants to see her.

Now standing before her mother who was sitting down with Alice, she bit her lips.

“I heard you are now whoring around in the woods” she asked, sipping her tea calmly, a smooth leather whip beside her.l

“I didn't do such” Raine answered softly and the Luna raised a brow, dropping the tea cup down harshly.

“So you mean I'm wrong, I got reliable information that you were caught with a man, that was the reason you are coming back by this hour” she half yelled, her hands reaching for the whip.

Raine froze her eyes now glassy as they fixed on the whip, her body shivering.

“I.. didn't..do anything” she stuttered, hugging herself, that whip has inflicted many wounds on her, both emotionally and physically.

“Mother, is it really necessary?

No one is beyond love, why don't you forgive her besides she is old enough to leave our home” Alice spoke gracefully.

Luna Indira glanced at her daughter and paused for a minute before dropping the whip reluctantly on the table.

“Thank you sister for saving you tonight, get out of my sight” she hissed and threw the tea cup at her feet.

With ragged breath she turned and walked away barely herself, once she stepped into her room she shut the door.

Three days later..

Raine was already awake at the first cockcrow, she was meant to accompany her parents to the training ground.

Wearing a purple dress which looked beautiful on her despite being plain she tied her red long hair together and took her bag with her.

She boarded the carriage with them, once they got to the training ground the warriors assembled as the alpha addressed.

Raine, who was bored, left their midst, she had heard that the training ground was extended to the back of the pack house.

It was said that few people had access to that training ground, it was meant for the Alphas and betas, and the elite warriors.

She walked farther away from the general training ground, her mind went to the man she had helped earlier.

“Is he a warrior or rogue?” she muttered as she walked mindlessly, then shook her head.

Rogues were never treated warmly in Silver Pack, that would mean her medicine and efforts might go in vain.

She shook her head, she planned to ask around and know his whereabouts.

She didn't know when she stepped into the inner training ground, the next she heard was a swooshing sound coming her way.

She looked up and saw two arrows moving in full speed towards her.
