LOGINC10: Birthday Night
Two months later, evening… The days had passed peacefully, with little or no trouble from Alice. Raine thought it was a good sign. Maybe Alice was too focused on her training to cause problems. Today was her birthday. Raine sat in the bathtub with her eyes closed, lost in her thoughts. Raphael had promised her a gift, and although she did not know what it was, she was eager to find out. She could not wait to see him that night. Her parents had said the celebration would be held that night because of the full moon. It was meant for her sister, not for her. As always, she was expected to stay in the background. No one would wish her a happy birthday or raise a toast for her. All the attention would be on Alice. Raine no longer felt the same pain she used to. She had come to accept that she was unloved, and today was no different. Instead of feeling lonely, she felt a bit happy, knowing Raphael would come. Deep down, she was excited about the gift he had promised her. After bathing, she wore a blue floral dress and fixed a gray hairpin in her hair to hold it in place. She went into the kitchen, where maids moved around busily, preparing food. One of them bumped into her, almost spilling red wine on her. Raine quickly lifted her dress and stepped aside. The wine spilled onto the marble floor instead. The maid panicked and tried to kneel, but Raine held her up. “What is going on here?” Luna Indira’s voice echoed through the kitchen. Her eyes narrowed as she looked at the spilled wine. The maid bowed immediately, trembling as she tried to speak, but no words came out. “I will not ask again. What is going on here?” she demanded angrily. Raine sighed softly before stepping forward. She knew how strict her mother could be. “Mother, she accidentally bumped into me and spilled the wine,” Raine explained calmly, standing slightly in front of the maid. Luna Indira shifts her gaze to Raine, her anger growing. “You again. What are you doing here? You always ruin things. Now you want to ruin Alice’s birthday too?” she asked in disbelief. “I did not mean to. I only came to prepare a meal for myself,” Raine replied. Luna Indira glared at her. She looked as if she wanted to slap her but held herself back. “You should thank the Moon Goddess that tonight is a special night,” she said coldly before turning to leave. She gave the maids a sharp look, they all continued their activities quickly. “Do not make another mistake,” she warned before walking out. Raine let out a breath of relief as her tense body relaxed. She had not realized how cold she had felt until her palms began to warm again. “Thank you for saving me,” the maid said quietly , clasping her hands together. Raine shook her head. “It is nothing. I was already in trouble too. Just be more careful next time,” she said before leaving the kitchen. She decided not to cook anymore. She did not want to cause another problem, especially today. Soon, guests began to arrive. The hall quickly filled up. It looked as though the entire pack was present. Raine smiled faintly. If it had been her birthday celebration, the hall would have been empty. Not even her parents would have attended. She shook off the thought and walked toward the garden. She preferred to wait for Raphael there rather than stay inside and feel like an outcast in the midst of the pack. Meanwhile, Raphael dressed in a golden outfit, combing his blonde hair back neatly. In his hand was a small box containing a diamond bracelet, a symbol of his love. He left his home with the intention of proposing to Raine. That night, Raphael felt strange. His senses were heightened, and his body felt unusually warm. The feeling was not unfamiliar. He had read about mate bond symptoms since he was eighteen, giving him the five years knowledge of how it happens and considering he was different he needed to be prepared. So he understood what was happening. Being different, he had always prepared himself for this moment. Despite his reserved and strict nature, Raphael had always dreamed of having a mate. A small smile appeared on his lips as he thought of the Moon Goddess blessing their love. When he arrived at the Alpha’s mansion, he stepped out of the carriage. The sensations grew stronger as he walked further inside. His heart beat faster, and his vision blurred for a moment before clearing again. He felt his wolf stirring within him, restless and eager to come out and find its mate. He clenched his jaw, trying to control himself. He did not want to frighten Raine. Raine, who had unknowingly fallen asleep in the garden, suddenly woke up. She looked up at the sky and saw the full moon shining brightly over the garden. She gasped and quickly got up, heading toward the front of the mansion to check if Raphael had arrived. The moon was already out, and the celebration had begun. Then she saw him. Raphael was walking unsteadily, his eyes sharp as they locked onto her from a distance. His wolf stirred within him, restless and possessive, urging him toward the smaller figure who was a bit far from him. Relief washed over him when he realized it was Raine. Raine hurried toward him and held his shoulders. “Are you alright?” she asked, her voice filled with concern as she felt the skin beneath the fabric was hot…too hot. Raphael held onto her tightly, burying his face in her neck to take a sniff. “Mate,” he murmured softly, breathing in her scent. Then his expression changed. His brows furrowed, and confusion crossed his face. In the next moment, his expression hardened with displeasure. Suddenly, he pushed her away.C92: Wolfless Or Not?The assistant physician swallowed nervously. Her eyes remained fixed on the claw marks across Raine's back. They looked... different.Just yesterday, the wounds had been wider and more gruesome. Now the flesh around them seemed to have drawn together slightly.Though the claw marks were still deep, they had clearly narrowed. She blinked several times, wondering if she had imagined it.Liya immediately stood from where she was seated and walked over. "What is it?"The assistant stepped aside but didn't speak.Liya leaned forward to examine the wound herself, she frowned slightly."I... don't know what it looked like before."She glanced back at the assistant physician."But these wounds are still very deep."The assistant nodded absentmindedly. "They are… but they were wider."Liya's brows knitted together in confusion. "What do you mean?"The assistant shook her head slightly. "I need to call the Royal Physician now."Without waiting for another question, she hur
C91: The Flower Changes The Lycan King remained silent for a few seconds after Prince Kaizen finished speaking.Everyone stood still waiting for his decision. Finally, the King nodded once. "So be it."Prince Kaizen lowered his head respectfully. "Thank you, Father."Lilith's tense shoulders relaxed. She immediately bowed deeply. "Thank you, Your Majesty."Elder Alaric bowed his head. “Thank you, Your Majesty, for your mercy. I will be more strict with her.” The King gave him a sharp stare and looked away.Liya silently watched everything unfold from where she stood. She couldn't understand how someone who almost killed another was pardoned with just a few words. Two royal guards immediately stepped forward and took hold of Maya. She struggled as they grabbed her arms."No! Please, Your Majesty!"“Please spare me." She cried desperately, but no one stepped forward to help her.Even Lilith avoided looking at her.Maya lowered her head and allowed the guards to drag her away when she
C90: A Better Punishment Everyone waited for Liya's answer at the moment.Fina stared at Liya who was trembling with concern. She slowly stepped closer and gently held Liya's cold hand. "Liya..."The female slowly raised her tear-filled eyes.Fina sighed softly. "Say the truth. If you continue hiding it… both you and Raine may suffer even more."Liya bit her lower lip until it turned pale, her gaze slowly shifted toward Leonard. The male simply looked at her quietly. There was no anger in his eyes, nor was there disappointment or disgust.Rather his expression remained calm, almost encouraging. That alone gave Liya enough courage. She swallowed painfully before lowering her head. “...It is true."Her trembling voice echoed through the silent banquet. "Lady Raine… is wolfless."The final confirmation sent another wave of whispers through the crowd. The King's brows slowly furrowed.Liya managed to glance at the elders, they were all looking displeased. They had all been deceived from
C89: A Wolfless Female In The Lycan Palace.Lilith's eyes narrowed the instant Maya pointed at her.For a few seconds, everywhere fell silent. The Lycan King slowly shifted his gaze toward Lilith.Lilith calmly rose from her seat and walked toward the center of the banquet, all she wanted to do was slap the stupid shewolf who mentioned her name.Instead she stopped beside Liya before bowing respectfully. "Your Majesty."The King's expression remained unreadable as he spoke. "This female claims you were involved."Lilith slowly lifted her head. "I do not know what Maya is talking about."Maya stared at her in disbelief. "Lilith..."Lilith ignored her completely.Leonard narrowed his gaze before stepping forward. "Very well then. If you know nothing about this..." he paused before looking straight into her eyes."Would you care to explain why you paid one of the stable servants to secretly bring Ember to the campsite?" He asked calmly.Lilith's calm expression cracked for the first time
C88: The Feast Of Sin RevealingThe musicians were already playing their tunes as everyone stepped out of their tents, dressed in luxurious robes and gowns prepared for the feast. The servants quietly carried trays filled with grilled meat, fruits and wine, while guards stood around the large banquet area.Leonard had already taken his seat beside the Royal Physician, his eyes slowly swept across the gathering before stopping on Lilith. She sat gracefully among the noble ladies, elegantly dressed in a flowing purple dress with a goblet resting between her fingers.Their eyes met briefly, Leonard looked at her with no trace of emotion.Lilith returned the stare calmly, but beneath her composed expression, her pupils trembled nervously. After a few seconds, she calmly looked away and lifted her goblet to hide the slight change in her breathing. Not long after, Maya slowly stepped out of her tent. Unlike the others, there was no excitement on her face. She quietly walked toward the seat
C87: The Schemer Becomes ScaredLeonard slowly turned his attention away from Ember and looked at the stable servant who had been staring at them with wide eyes. The servant still looked utterly stunned. He had expected the fiery red horse to attack Leonard the same way it attacked everyone else who came close. Instead, Ember stood quietly beside him, occasionally nudging his shoulder as though she had known him for years.Leonard noticed the servant's expression but paid it no mind.He gently stroked Ember's neck before asking calmly, "Who helped you tie her down?"The servant's expression immediately changed. He dropped to his knees with a loud thud, lowering his head until it almost touched the ground. "No… No one, Commander."Leonard remained silent as he watched him.The servant hurriedly continued. "I will accept any punishment.” He bowed further. “The others knew nothing about my dealings with Lady Lilith. They truly had nothing to do with this." He pleaded. The Royal Physicia
C7: Perfect Couple Alice gulped and shook her head. “I… I don't know. Don’t look at me that way,” she muttered, her voice barely audible. Raphael chuckled, but the intensity in his eyes remained. “Let's continue our practice,” he said calmly. By evening, Alice hurried back home, but the inciden
C6: Are You A Lycan She saw they were two different colors. She subconsciously shivered at the raw power and energy the figure emitted. The figure touched her cheeks softly. “Mine…” it purred hoarsely, and Raine felt a rush run down her spine, her cheeks heating up effortlessly at the mere sensati
C5: The Nightmare “She is not feeling well. She had to stay at home for a few days,” Alice lied smoothly. “Then I have to visit her,” Raphael said before he could think. Alice furrowed her brows. “That won't be necessary. She will be fine soon. You don't have to bother,” she replied instantly.
C4: Wine Cellar… In the Alpha's mansion, Alice stood outside dressed in a white shirt, black trousers, and a pair of black boots. Her black hair was tied neatly in a bun as she impatiently tapped her foot on the ground. Finally, Raine came out wearing a simple green dress, carrying her small bag
