Chapter 1

C1:Low Growls In The Woods.

Silver Pack….

Silver Pack was one of the rare packs that existed amongst others, each Silver pack werewolf had a fiery glint in their eyes from birth, and their wolves head tattoo in their back from the moment they shapeshifted.

But Raine's case was different, there was no fiery glint in her beautiful almond shaped brown eyes since birth, that made her different from others.

There were loud rumors that she might not have a wolf , which was abnormal.

Her parents disliked her because of it, despite being an only child but that was what made them angrier.

At the age of fifteen, she prayed softly to the moon goddess wishing that she could get her wolf, but fate was not hers to dictate.

That full moon night she stood with other young pups who were about to wolf out in the sacred ground, she could see her mother's glaring eyes and her father's stern gaze from their seats.

It was as if she was given a final chance to be meaningful and worthy, to prove herself before the pack.

As the moon shone brightly in its glory, others began to wolf out, Raine held her chest tightly praying. Hoping and wishing.

Beads of sweat slowly formed on her forehead as she continued praying.

Seconds turned to minutes..hours, yet nothing happened she slowly opened her eyes which had turned glassy with tears.

Her father Alpha Elmore looked away in disappointment while her mother Luna Indira clenched her fist, they both left the sacred ground.

Raine bit her lips, “what's that, an alpha's daughter?” One of the pups who just wolfed out said laughing.

“You could have at least been an omega you know?, having a weak wolf is better than none, so what are we going to call you?” another spoke mocking her.

“What a waste of preparing a spot for you at the sacred ground”

Raine felt her ears ring as their mockery became too loud for her, she stared at the place her parents once sat, they didn't bother to take her back, she was left behind to be taunted by others.

It became too much that she ran away, far from the sacred ground, she sat in the woods and eventually fell asleep there.

Next Day…

It was nearly afternoon when she returned home, her parents didn't bother to search for her, to them it would be best if she didn't appear before them again.

Raine barely hid her face as she walked down the path to her home, they mocked her along the way.

On getting home she met her parents with an unfamiliar girl around her age, she noticed how her mother spoke to her fondly while her father smiled at her.

Something she never got from them, she stepped further into the sitting room her eyes cast down as she greeted her parents.

“What are you doing here?” Luna Indira questioned with a frown on her beautiful face.

“I'm back home, I didn't mean to stay out last night” Raine spoke softly.

“You did well because I might have as well killed you last night” she spoke glaring at her.

“Enough Indi, Raine this is Alice, our lost daughter your twin sister” Alpha Elmore said, his voice firm as he introduced the stranger to her.

“You are expected to treat her nicely and not do anything stupid” he added sternly.

Raine nodded but didn't say a word as she slowly glanced at Alice who smiled sweetly.

Since that day her life changed from worst to worse, Alice framed her at every given opportunity, her parents would punish her.

Four years later…

Raine, who would soon clock nineteen, was sent to pick scented flowers for her sister whose birthday was fast approaching.

Since Alice was said to be her twin sister, they shared the same birthday but hers was never really celebrated, her parents and the pack only recognized her sister, leaving her in the cold shadows.

Funny enough they had maids, omegas but then she was worse than them right?, so she had to run errands as well.

Leaving the Alpha's Mansion she took the path to the woods, she always took that route which was less busy to avoid the pack's mockery gaze.

Stopping before a bed of lilies at the inner part of the woods she sighed in relief as she picked the delicate flowers and placed them in her basket.

She heard a low grunt, weak and vulnerable.

She paused, her eyes scanning her surroundings, she had once been ambushed by a group of bullies from her pack and since then she learned to be careful despite not having any abilities.

The low, weak growls were heard again and she stood up, her heart racing as she slowly traced where it was coming from.

Her inner mind screamed for her to run, but she couldn't despite wanting to desperately turn around and sprint off.

Unknown to her, there was a hole there she tripped and fell inside the dark hole which was once covered with grasses.

She heard the growl again, it was low but more audible, she stiffened and turned around.

“Who is there?” She spoke a bit loud as she tried to see through the darkness when she felt something strong and big grip her neck, choking her.
