Chapter thirty-nine

"Hi aunt Mae!"

Carl said making himself comfortable in his mom's arm,

"Hello big guy,how was school today?"

Mae asked as she picked up her bag and walked side by side Nora as they walked to Nora's apartment together,

"Fine….mom can't i come to work for you,I hate school!"

Carl said to Nora, giving her the puppy eyes,

"Like it's going to work on me" Nora replied him ignoring the sad eyes he was giving her

"But mom…aunty Mae, uncle Matt and uncle Nico call me big guy,I'm not a baby I could help you out,you know!"

Chuckling Nora was proud of her baby for thinking about helping her out,

"If you're so big then why I'm I carrying you?"

Nora asked making Mae laugh out,and making Carl blush,his face turning red with embarrassment ,

"Mom!!"

Carl shouted, hiding his face on the crook of her neck, holding his little hands to his face.

"Sorry baby,but till I stop picking you up,you would remain a baby to me,my baby"

Nora said, holding his already bent head close to her body as she and Mae laughed
