Magnus fist slammed against the desk, his nostrils flaring and his jaw clenched.

“How could they accept such a nobody as their mate? Do they even cherish their position as Alphas?” Magnus roared, with anger dripping from his tone.

“I don't remember training them to be so pathetic. I suspect that despicable Omega decided to meet with a witch to fake the bond, just to gain some respect in the pack .” Magnus voice thundered through the room.

Beta Aldric stood at Magnus’ side, listening to his his frastration with a blank expression.

“I think I have to find a way to end their useless bond” Magnus stated.

“I think you should kill her quietly. Perhaps order a lesser wolf to do it, then we banish them after. We'll pretend to catch the murderer, meanwhile it was us all along.” Beta Aldric replied and his idea was just as cunning as his personality. He was like a snake, always striking at vulnerabilities and recently he had begun crafting a dangerous plan for Magnus himself.

“That sounds like a good plan, but I think we can just threaten her to leave and if she refuses we go with your plan.” Magnus said a bit calmer than the tone he used earlier on.

“Okay, it's a good idea but it's good to end her once and for all. If we are going with your plan we can offer some money as compensation, to make it enticing for a nobody like her.” Beta Aldric suggested.

“That's a good plan to add compensation. You see this is why I choose you as my beta.” Magnus said with a smirk on his lips.

Beta Aldric smiled politely, but his eyes remained cold and unreadable.

“I'm going to check the pack warriors to see, how far they have gone with their training.” Beta Aldric announced and left to the training ground without waiting for a response from Magnus.

As he walked towards the training ground, he could hear whispers from minor wolves. The whispers died instantly, when they acknowledge his presence.

When he arrived at the training ground, the pack warriors even the strongest, were practicing lazily, and the captain wasn't there. He knew that if they was an attack at the borders the pack warriors would likely be defeated.

“All of you get back to your training. Now!” Beta Aldric ordered, his eyes narrowing as he folded his arms across his chest.

Immediately Beta Aldric announced this, the pack warriors became more serious with their training.

“Make it more intense,” Beta Aldric commanded as he paced between the rows of warriors.

The pack warriors trained like the never did in weeks. The trained as if preparing for a war that will soon come.

“Now, practice your sword skills and make it better.”

The pack warriors drew their swords and began practicing. This practicing took hours before Beta Aldric commented.

“Good. You guys divide yourselves into pairs and practice your skills with your partners.” Beta Aldric said.

The pack warriors did as he said for two hours and they became so exhausted.

“All of you have trained so well today so I give you one week break. You could use this time to bond with your family or the closest people to you.” Beta Aldric said with a bright smile, but what they didn't know was that it was all part of his plan.

The pack warriors were excited but they didn't show it.

Beta Aldric left the training ground back to Magnus quarters.

Magnus sat hunched over the desk, flipping through some files with furrowed brows.

Magnus sensed Aldric presence in the room, so he lifted his head to confirm, and behold it was Aldric.

Magnus streched out his hands with a file in it. “Aldric, have a look at this file.”

Beta Aldric collected the file from to have a look at it. When he saw what it was he got a bit surprised. The file contained the collaboration with the Red Moon Crescent Pack, and he knew the pack is the most powerful and feared pack. He knew that if the Magnus formed an alliance with the Red Moon Crescent Pack, it would destroy his perfectly laid plan.

“I think they are just trying to get something from you and as we know they are the most powerful and feared pack. What if we collaborate with them and they decide to turn against us.” Beta Aldric suggested.

“That could be true and I'll think about it before I reply.” Magnus stated frankly

“Okay but they are still dangerous so if I was you I'll choose wisely.” Aldric announced.

“Okay, I've heard your advice.” Magnus uttered

“But, if you are looking for an alliance you can go form one with the Blood Moon Pack, there are also powerful but not dangerous” Aldric suggested so he could easily carry out his plan, since he formed an alliance with the pack.

“Ohh, not really interested in forming an alliance.” Magnus replied sincerely.

“Okay.”

“Anyways how are the pack warriors training going?” Magnus asked

“They were training very well when I arrived and they seemed very ready for any war or unexpected attack at the borders.” Aldric lied with a blank expression and no form of suspission in his tone.

“That's great to hear.” Magnus said with a smile curling on his lips.

“I gave them few days to rest so they could bond with their family. Because I heard that they hadn't had time for their family from the captain. The captain hadn't actually said it directly, but implied they have been working tiredlessly.” Aldric lied again flawlessly without a flicker of emotion.

“Okay, that's really good of you.” Magnus complimented Aldric.

“Should I call the Omega now, so we can tell her to leave.” Aldric stated.

“Not now, I'll do it later but it will be in the night.”Magnus uttered flatly.

“When we have finally gotten rid of the Omega. I think you should choose a Luna for the Alphas.” Aldric suggested.

“That makes sense, maybe your daughter, can be the Luna of the pack, since she's everything we need in a Luna for the Alphas.” Magnus replied, already buying into the idea.

Aldric was a bit excited, because he had actually made Magnus fall for his plan. He had waited patiently for his plan to unfold. Now that he had taken the initiative, he marvelled at how easily they fell for it. What he knew was soon, he shall take over the pack and instead of being called Beta, he'll be called Alpha.

“Yes, that's a great idea to make her the Luna, and I think she's the perfect fit for that position.” Aldric added, with his normal unreadable expression on his facial features.

Kael woke up at midnight when everyone was asleep, including his brothers, so he could execute his plan.He moved slowly and quietly out of the room, making sure not a single sound came from his steps.Kael approached Beta Aldric's office, careful not to be seen or heard. When he reached Aldric’s study, he checked through the keyhole to see if anyone was still there. Luckily, he did, because Beta Aldric was still inside.Kael was about to leave when he heard something that made him freeze.“So what you’re saying is that Damien contacted you about their mate?” Beta Aldric said to someone on the line.Kael stayed rooted to the spot, waiting to hear more.“Has Kael contacted you recently?” Aldric asked.“Wow, that means only Damien and Lucian have reached out to you,” Aldric confirmed.“Anyway, my daughter will be yours when she’s done playing her part in making me the Alpha,” Aldric assured.“Don’t forget to keep training your pack warriors consistently,” Aldric added, and that made Kae

“What does he mean by he saved us?” Damien muttered, his brows drawn together in confusion.“Well, I have no idea. All I know is that he’s bipolar,” Lucian replied, a smirk tugging at his lips.“Why does he always have to act so strange?” Damien asked, stroking his chin thoughtfully.“He’s always been strange, but now it’s more obvious,” Lucian said with a shrug.“Yeah, he definitely acts strange.” Damien added with a sigh.“Ugh, this place is so boring. I preferred when we were in New York City,” Lucian complained.“Shh,” Damien hissed, placing a finger against his lips. “That’s supposed to be a secret.”“It’s not like anyone would know,” Lucian muttered, rolling his eyes.“You should be cautious. Carelessness may lead to your fall,” Damien warned.“Whatever…” Lucian scoffed, rolling his eyes again.“I’m serious,” Damien muttered firmly.“You’re always serious,” Lucian teased.“I’m not.”“Yes, you are,” Lucian said, laughing at Damien’s sternness. They didn’t notice Kael step into th

“How could he do this to us?” Damien asked, his voice thick with anger. “He betrayed us, and he’s completely lost my trust.”“Well, when he reported us and acted like it was nothing, whatever hope I had left in him went down the drain,” Lucian said sincerely.“Same here,” Damien added.“Do you still think he’s up to something, some plan or reason behind all this?” Lucian asked, raising his brows, his tone dripping with sarcasm.“Oh yeah, I still think he’s up to something, but he’s lost my trust,” Damien replied firmly.“To me, he doesn’t look like he’s planning anything, just a betrayer and a backstabber,” Lucian thought to himself.‘My gut tells me Kael’s up to something. I’m sure he’s doing this to find our mate. But because he betrayed us, my trust in him is gone. I pity Lucian, it’s unfortunate he’s still naïve and not as wise as Kael,’ Damien thought, though he didn’t say it aloud. Instead, he stared blankly, lost in his thoughts.“What are you thinking about?” Lucian asked, sna

  • THE OMEGA'S HEAT   Kael's changed

“He betrayed us. How could he?” Damien complained to Lucian.“Well… with the way he’s been acting lately, I’m not surprised. His mood swings and all, one second he’s angry, the next he’s sorry, then he’s supportive, and now he’s in denial. He’s really not trustworthy, or even worth our trust,” Lucian poured out, frustration lacing every word.“Yeah, maybe. Still, I have a feeling he has his reasons,” Damien said, stroking his chin.“Reasons, sure,” Lucian muttered, sarcasm dripping from his tone.“I really think he does. Didn’t you realize that when we left the room, he was in a normal mood, but when he came to the study, he changed? I feel like something triggered him, but I’m confused. Whenever he says anything, it sounds so true that you don’t know when to believe him and when not to.” Damien shook his head.“I don’t trust Kael, and I don’t think I ever will. Well, maybe if he stopped with this split-personality act, I could consider forgiving him,” Lucian said flatly.“You know, w

  • THE OMEGA'S HEAT   Cassidy reports

Cassidy was pleased with what Kael had said, but Lucian and Damien’s words left her deeply unsettled. A cunning, deceitful idea flashed through her mind, which was to report them. But first, she needed to keep spying on the Alphas. ‘I wonder who I should spy on first. Since Damien and Lucian are still together, maybe I should start with Kael. But first, I think I’ll take Emily with me.’ Cassidy reasoned this as she went to look for Emily. ‘Now where the heck am I going to find her? I think I should check my room where I left her. Maybe she’ll still be there.’ “Good morning, ma’am,” a group of maids greeted, but Cassidy didn’t respond. Her mind was elsewhere. When she reached her room, she found Emily laughing on the phone with someone Cassidy didn’t recognize. Cassidy narrowed her eyes, watching longer than usual. Judging by Emily’s tone, her words, and the way she twirled her hair, it seemed she was speaking to a man. After what felt like hours, the call ended. “Who was that,

"I'm… sorry for the way I acted earlier," Kael said, his voice low. The words came out stiff and awkward, because an apology was something he hardly ever gave.Damien blinked, staring at his brother with genuine surprise in his eyes. "I forgive you," he said almost immediately, the words coming out without hesitation."Why did you have to attack him?" Lucian asked suddenly, his gaze locking onto Kael’s."I lost control," Kael admitted, disappointed by what he did."But he wasn’t the reason you lost control. You could have left him out of it!" Lucian snapped, his tone harsh and his eyes never leaving Kael’s."I know," Kael replied, calmer this time."There’s no need for this quarrel," Damien interjected, his voice firm but soothing. "He lost control, and I understand that.""That doesn’t make it right for him to attack you," Lucian shot back, glaring daggers at Kael."I’m sorry," Kael said again, more times than he ever had before. It was unlike him, and they all knew it.Damien leaned
