Erica's POV.

It was getting late quickly, it was already midnight, and I still found it difficult to shut my eyes…anytime I did, I only saw images of disappointed faces.

I always comforted myself with the fact that, I wasn't wrong, and that I have every right to feel like this…guilty — because the three of them were innocent, they didn't deserve the pain I'd caused them, but still, they had to pay a price for the debt they didn't know…

Sacrificing my happiness for someone else's, was the last thing I'd considered sane.

So I wasn't crazy…I was right.

And what was the worst thing that could happen?

Then it dawned on me quickly, that I was packless and could be kicked out, but even though they used it against me in a way of pressuring me to get married to their sons, well they could try a different method.

But the fact was that I couldn't afford to be kicked out of the pack, out of the mansion…at least not yet, I still had unfinished business with Denise…and I thought I had forgiven Rowe

  • THE OMEGA'S RETURN: Her Second Life Under The Moonlight.   Chapter Sixty -Four.

Erica’s POV.Her first few steps out of the dungeon were slow, hesitant—like a newborn stumbling into the world for the first time. The air above ground was different, less heavy, warmer, but it carried a sting, as though it was reminding her she had no place here…in the land of the living.I stood there, watching her. I could imagine what she must be feeling—the relief, the strange rush of being free again. I wished I could say I had felt that same joy when I was reborn. But no… my death had been sharp, like the snapping of a string, and my rebirth… sudden. Too sudden. All the pain, all the betrayal from my past life had been stuffed into my chest like a bad dream that refused to fade. The only difference now was… it wasn’t a dream.“So…” I stepped forward, blocking her path before she could take more than two steps away from the dungeon door. My arms folded across my chest, my voice steady. “It’s your turn to handle your part of the deal.”Her eyes darted to mine, sharp and calcula

  • THE OMEGA'S RETURN: Her Second Life Under The Moonlight.   Chapter Sixty-Three.

Erica’s POV.Her name was Daisy. The way her lips curled made my skin prickle. Her words clung to me long after I stepped out of the dungeon, following me up the stone stairs and into the cool night air. I should have shut the heavy door behind me and locked it in my mind forever, but instead I kept hearing her voice, replaying over and over.“Help me…I can help you…”It was like a bargain whispered by the wind, a promise I hadn’t agreed to but couldn’t shake off.If she could really make Robert, Ronald and…Reynold, forget the fact that they loved me, if she make the love they had for me disappear, and if I live without seeing them hurt everyday, then…then she was worth helping…The night outside was quiet, the kind that wrapped around you like a blanket yet still left you feeling watched. The moon hung low, its pale glow spilling over the rooftops, and turning cobblestones silver. My footsteps sounded too loud as I walked in, back into the mansion, and hurried back into my room…tomor

  • THE OMEGA'S RETURN: Her Second Life Under The Moonlight.   Chapter Sixty -Two.

Erica’s POV.I stared at the skinny brunette in front of me, the silence between us dragging far longer than it should. I hadn’t replied to her in minutes. My mind was racing—wondering why she was even in this part of the dungeon. This wasn’t the usual place I’d come to check. It was a deeper, narrower wing, with damp stone walls that seemed to lean in on you, making the air feel heavy. The smell of mildew stung my nose, and the ground beneath my feet was uneven, coated with a thin layer of grime. I was just getting to see this place for the first time myself… and she was already here. Her frame was thin, almost frail, the white dress she wore clinging to her looked like it hadn’t been washed in months. The fabric was torn beyond repair, fraying at the edges and hanging off her shoulders. Her hair—if it could still be called that—was a tangled mess, dark brown strands sticking out in every direction as if the air itself had been tugging at them. But it was her eyes that unsettled me

  • THE OMEGA'S RETURN: Her Second Life Under The Moonlight.   Chapter Sixty.

Erica’s POV.For a moment, I couldn’t breathe. The way he was looking at me, like I was the only thing that could keep him alive, made my chest ache so badly it hurt to stand still.I wanted to look away, to give myself a second to gather my thoughts, but my eyes wouldn’t move from his. His pain was there for me to see — not hidden, not covered by pride, not softened by anger. It was raw.“You don’t mean that,” I whispered. My voice didn’t sound like mine.“I do,” he shot back quickly. “Every word. I mean it with everything I have.” His jaw clenched like he was trying to hold himself together.I shook my head, almost in disbelief. “You can’t love me like that. You barely know me.”“I know enough,” he said, stepping closer. “I know the way you speak when you’re nervous. I know the way your hands shake when you’re trying not to cry. I know the way you pull back from everyone but still let me close. And I know—” his voice cracked, “—I know you’re my mate, and I can’t change that even if

  • THE OMEGA'S RETURN: Her Second Life Under The Moonlight.   Chapter Fifty -Nine.

Erica’s POV.I closed my door slowly, listening to the faint click of the lock sliding into place, as if that tiny sound could shield me from everything waiting outside. My fingers stayed on the lock for a second longer than they should have, gripping it like it was the only thing keeping me upright. Then I leaned forward, letting my forehead press against the cold wood of the door. The chill seeped into my skin, grounding me and stinging at the same time. I didn’t even realize I’d been holding my breath until it left my lungs in a shaky, uneven exhale.Tears burned my eyes before spilling over. I didn’t try to stop them. They rolled down my cheeks, hot and relentless, carving silent paths over my skin. So… this was it.The bond I had been so afraid of letting go—the invisible, unbreakable thread between us—was now in pieces. Not because someone else had severed it. Not because fate had played another cruel trick on me. But because I had broken it. With my own hands. With my own choic
