Chapter 5: THE SUSPENSE BEGINS...
The director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations walked in and headed to one of the control Chambers. No greetings had come as usual. Everyone was just too busy with one thing or the other. And he was frequenting his to and fro walk in the building. The situation had become too tasking for any high ranking official in the security world. And as a matter of fact, the lower ranking ones have been feeling the endless heat of everything. The doors of the room slid open and he walked in effortlessly.
" What is the situation now? Any good updates yet? " His eyes wheeled round a technology flooded room . Every computer displayed different locations in the country.

The sky was already becoming filled with a brightness rising from the East. The sun was already coming up. " For how long is this nonsense going to continue?" Chief Chris said. " What nonsense is this?"" What will happen to a nation without a leader?" Chief Joe asked." I guess that is the point." Mike sat down on one of the blue sofas and stared at the enlargement that hung on the wall of the living room. The enlargement was that of his mother. That picture of her was taken three months ago on her birthday. Mike went on to make it an enlargement and presented it to her. His phone rang. It was an official call. He owned one of the booming restaurants in Center City. Lucky enough for him, the restaurant was not affected by the explosion. He ignored the call. When the phone was done ringing, the picture he took with his mother came into view. He had used it as his screensaver. He smiled tearfully. Memories would not let him be. How on Earth was he going to get over the loss of his mother? The only parent he knew was that woman. His phone rang again. This time, it was Steve. He picked the call ." Steve. " He said as he placed the phone on his ear.

The director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations sat in his office with both legs crossed across his office table. He leaned comfortably on his swivel chair. It had already been twenty-two minutes he asked the team to come but no one was there yet . He could feel that sleep was slowly creeping to his eyes. He fought it . It was their fault. If they had arrived as told, he would not be here battling with sleep. He yawned weakly and rubbed his eyes. All he wanted at that moment was to just go home and relax well on his mighty bed and get enough sleep no matter how many hours it would cost him. For a very long time, he had not had any good sleep. Several hours of sleeplessness. Five minutes ago, his wife had called demanding that he returned home to get some rest. And at least, eat good food. Mike had ransacked the whole room in search of what he needed. He wondered why all of a sudden, why his mother had to change the location of this box. It used to be right there in her room under her bed. But it was not there. It was not equally in the wardrobe . Those were the normal places his mother could hide things. But this time around, everything had changed. Could it be that someone already barged into their home and made away with the box? No way. Out of frustration, he decided to walk out of the room and walk straight to his own room in the house. Maybe his mother was struggling to pass all the information he needed to be guided after her death. And possibly, the box was a part of the information she tried to pass. The thought of the mission he was about to send them off to was on his mind. What if they did not make it back alive? But it was not such a big deal.
