CHAPTER 37: CAPTAIN CLINTON IS TAKEN!
Captain Clinton stood several meters away and stared at the big black gate of a fenced compound. The directions he had received from Rick had led him directly to this point. Though, he had not seen the ambulance as proof . But he knew somewhere beyond the black gate and the fence, the ambulance would be parked . Four men stood before the gate. As one in the field, he could tell some of the loitering men in the area were keeping guard of the premises. Getting in would be very difficult. He was not even sure of what he was really going in there to see. All he had at the back of his mind was to get in.
" Rick. " He spoke through his communicating device. " Rick, can you hear me?"
" Captain Clinton." Rick responded. " I am right here

In the streets of Philadelphia, numerous citizens gathered at different points to watch the president's speech on national news . More citizens crept out of their homes to cuddle closer to each other. The fear in the atmosphere of the country had become very high." Mike sat on the partially dismantled heap where they found his mother some hours ago. His hands pressed hard on his knees. Steve stood in front of him , looking at the unending work before him . The bodies were still being taken away. A work that lasted through the night till the moment. He sighed and turned to Mike. Mike's face had no signs of smiles. The sky was already becoming filled with a brightness rising from the East. The sun was already coming up.
