**Elara's POV**

"Show me the message again," Kael demanded, snatching the blood-stained note from my fingers.

I watched his jaw clench as he read Darius's words. "Come home, wife. Or I'll kill every Eclipse wolf I find until you do. Starting with your precious rogue."

"Arrogant bastard," Kael growled, crushing the paper in his fist. "He thinks he can threaten me in your father's territory?"

"He's not just threatening," I said, pacing the chamber. "He's already moving. The howls last night, those were scouts testing our borders."

Viktor entered without knocking, his golden eyes hard. "The scout talked. Darius has rallied three minor packs with the poisoning lie. They're calling you a kinslayer, Elara."

"I didn't poison anyone!" I snapped.

"Doesn't matter," Viktor replied coldly. "Perception wins wars. You need to train. Now. Show them the power you've hidden for three years."

Kael stepped between us. "She's not ready for full combat training. She was suppressed too long."

"She doesn't have a choice," Viktor shot back. "Unless you want your new mate's head on a spike by week's end."

I grabbed Kael's arm. "He's right. I need this. Teach me how to fight like an alpha."

Kael's eyes darkened. "Fine. But I'm overseeing every session."

The training grounds were brutal under the midday sun. Warriors circled as Viktor watched from the sidelines. Kael stood opposite me, shirtless, bandages still wrapped around his torso.

"Again," he barked. "Shift faster this time."

I lunged, trying to call forth my wolf. Pain lanced through my bones, but the shift came slower than his. He dodged easily and pinned me to the dirt, knee between my thighs.

"Too slow," he growled near my ear. "Darius won't wait for you to find your power."

"Get off," I hissed, but my body betrayed me, hips arching against his.

He smirked, grinding once deliberately. "You like when I pin you down."

"Focus," I snapped, shoving him. This time I managed a partial shift, claws extending as I raked his arm.

Kael laughed darkly. "Better. But not enough."

We sparred for hours. Sweat poured down my body. Every time I faltered, Kael was there, correcting my stance with rough hands, whispering filthy encouragement between commands.

"Imagine it's Darius," he said during a break, pressing me against the training post. His hand slipped under my tunic, fingers finding my nipple. "What would you do to him?"

"I'd rip his throat out," I breathed, moaning as he pinched hard.

"Good girl." His mouth claimed mine in a bruising kiss, tongue dominating as warriors pretended not to watch.

Viktor cleared his throat loudly. "Enough. Save the rutting for after victory."

Kael pulled back reluctantly. "Tonight," he promised, voice low. "I'm knotting you until you scream my name loud enough for Ironfang to hear."

By evening, exhaustion and need warred inside me. We barely made it back to our chamber before Kael had me naked and bent over the bed.

"Tell me you're mine," he growled, thrusting into me from behind in one smooth stroke.

"I'm yours," I gasped, pushing back to meet him. "Only yours."

He fucked me hard, one hand fisted in my hair, the other gripping my hip. Each powerful thrust drove me closer to the edge. His knot swelled, catching deliciously.

"Come for me, little queen," he commanded.

I shattered, crying out as pleasure ripped through me. Kael followed with a roar, locking us together as he filled me.

We collapsed together, still joined. His arms wrapped around me protectively.

"I'm scared," I whispered into the silence. "What if I'm not strong enough? What if Darius takes everything again?"

Kael nuzzled my neck, kissing the spot where he wanted to mark me. "You are stronger than you know. And I won't let him touch you. Ever."

A knock shattered the moment.

"Princess! Alpha Draven!" Thorne's voice was urgent. "Ironfang forces crossed the eastern border. Small strike team. They have hostages, some of our scouts."

We dressed quickly and rushed to the war room.

Viktor slammed his fist on the table. "Darius is testing us. He wants you to come to him, Elara."

"I won't," I said firmly.

But then a captured messenger was dragged in, beaten and bloody.

"Speak," Viktor ordered.

The man looked straight at me. "Alpha Darius has a message for his Luna. Seraphina lost the pup. She's dying. He says if you don't return and heal her with your royal blood as proof of innocence, he'll slaughter every Eclipse civilian he captures. Starting at dawn."

"Lies," Kael snarled.

The messenger smiled weakly. "He also sent this."

He pulled a bloodied lock of hair from his pocket. Seraphina's dark curls.

My stomach dropped.

Kael grabbed the man by the throat. "Where is the strike team now?"

"Close enough to strike the outer villages tonight," the messenger choked out. "Darius is coming for his wife, and he's not leaving without her."

I stepped forward, power flickering in my veins. "Then we meet them. I'm done running."

Kael's eyes met mine, pride and worry mixing. "Together."

Viktor nodded. "Prepare the warriors. We ride at midnight."

As we geared up, Kael pulled me aside in the armory.

"If it comes down to it," he said, cupping my face, "you run. I'll hold him off."

"No," I replied fiercely. "We fight together. No more sacrifices."

He kissed me deeply, pouring everything into it, fear, love, raw possession.

We mounted up with the war party, riding into the night. The forest was too quiet.

Then howls erupted ahead.

Darius's strike team burst from the trees, more than we expected. Chaos exploded. Wolves clashed in a frenzy of fangs and claws.

I shifted mid-leap, golden power surging as I tore into the nearest Ironfang warrior.

Kael fought like a demon beside me, his silver-black wolf a whirlwind of death.

But then I saw him, Darius, massive black wolf, eyes glowing with obsession as he cut through our lines straight toward me.

"Elara!" Kael roared through the bond.

Darius shifted to human form just ten feet away, naked and bloodied, golden eyes locked on mine.

"Come home, wife," he called, voice carrying over the battle. "Or watch your new fucktoy die slowly."

Kael charged him with a savage snarl.

Steel met claw as they collided.

I tried to reach them but two Ironfang wolves cut me off.

Darius laughed darkly as he fought Kael. "She'll always be mine, Draven. No matter how many times you knot her."

Kael's roar shook the trees.

Then Darius landed a brutal blow, sending Kael crashing into a tree.

I screamed, breaking through the wolves blocking me.

Darius turned to me, smiling that cruel, possessive smile.

"Time to choose, Elara. Him or your people."

Behind him, more Ironfang reinforcements poured from the darkness.

We were outnumbered.

And Darius was done playing games.

**Elara's POV**The war room fell silent as Thorne's words hung in the air. I sat up slowly, Kael's knot finally deflating enough for us to separate. His seed leaked down my thighs as I reached for a robe."Poisoned?" I repeated, voice sharp. "That's a fucking lie."Kael growled low, pulling me back against his chest despite the fresh stitches. "Of course it is. Darius is desperate."Thorne shifted uncomfortably. "The scout swears Seraphina is bleeding out. She's telling every allied pack that you slipped her something before you ran. They're calling it attempted murder of an unborn heir."My father's golden eyes narrowed on me. "Did you?""No!" I snapped, standing. The robe barely covered me. "I barely looked at her. This is Darius twisting the knife."Viktor leaned back in his throne-like chair. "Doesn't matter if it's true. Perception

**Elara's POV**The fortress gates slammed shut behind us with a thunderous boom that vibrated through my bones. Eclipse warriors swarmed the walls, bows drawn and wolves howling as they reinforced the perimeter. I could still hear the distant clash of battle echoing from the treeline where Kael had held Darius back."Kael!" I dropped to my knees beside him as he collapsed in the inner courtyard. Blood poured from the deep gashes across his chest and flank. His silver-black fur receded as he shifted, leaving him naked, sweat-slick, and far too pale."Little queen," he rasped, ice-blue eyes locking onto mine despite the pain. One bloodied hand reached up, fingers tangling in my hair with surprising strength. "Told you to go inside.""Shut up," I snapped, pressing my hands over the worst wound. Warm blood seeped between my fingers. "You idiot. You were supposed to come right back."

**Elara's POV*We moved at dawn, cutting through the thickest parts of the neutral woods where few wolves dared travel. Kael kept me close, one arm banded around my waist as we ran. His body heat bled into mine, constant and distracting. Every few miles he'd pull me behind a cluster of trees, press me against rough bark, and devour my mouth like a starving man."Need another taste," he growled during one stop, dropping to his knees right there in the dirt. He shoved my torn dress up and buried his face between my thighs without warning. His tongue was relentless, lapping at my slick folds, sucking hard on my clit until my legs shook and I came with a muffled scream against my own arm.He rose, lips shiny with my arousal, and kissed me deeply so I could taste myself on him. "Good girl," he praised, voice rough. "When we reach safety, I'm knotting this pretty pussy for hours."The bond between us thrummed stronger with every touch. **Elara's POV**The hidden Eclipse outpost nestled deep in the ancient woods felt like another world, stone walls covered in glowing runes, torchlight flickering against carved wolf motifs. Kael led me inside a small, defensible cabin, barring the heavy door behind us. Only two scouts remained outside on watch. My body still hummed from the long journey. Every step had been torture, the new mate bond pulsing between my thighs like a second heartbeat. Kael's scent clung to my skin, dark and addictive. He turned to me slowly, eyes glowing ice-blue in the low light. Water and blood still streaked his powerful body, highlighting every ridge of muscle. My gaze dropped involuntarily to the thick length hanging heavy between his legs, already half-hard again."Keep looking at me like that, little queen," he growled, stalking closer, "and I won't be gentle."I backed up until my thighs hit the edge of the wooden table. "We don't have time for this. Darius—""Fuck Darius." Kael's voice dropped
